I've been out of the game for several years. I remember the good ole' days of Godaddy doing the $0.99 domains, but that's been gone now it seems for a while.

I'm starting something up where I need to register 5-10 domains (mainly .com, some .net and .info). What's the cheapest registrar for new registrations now?

Godaddy 99 cent coupons still work well for new accounts only. If you've used that kind of coupon before then you can not use them anymore.
If you buy a lot of domain at the same time (with different extentions), then use 40% off code, this may save you a lot of money.

Good luck to you,

I use NameBright.com and NameSilo.com, both accredited registrars (ICANN) with about $8.50 for .COM renewals and you don't need a coupon or anything, just their normal price :), slightly pricier but still worth it, you can use Uniregistry if you want landing pages to potentially resell domains, they charge about $10 to $11 per year for .COM

$8.03/com at NameBright if you fund your account. Min funds only $15 so if you want to register 2 domains you can fund $16.06.

Interesting. Is this a promo or standard pricing?

Maybe high hassle is fasthosts as mentioned by @420domainer
COM only - £1.0 ~ $1.23 plus bank fees
At least you can go in prepared LOL

INFO 88 cents NameCheap

@Domaniak - $8.03 is standard with prefunding
The have it stupidly hidden in a popup if you see the tiny "Get It Cheaper" link https://namebright.com/
Get Domain Names Even Cheaper! Simply fund your NameBright.com account and checkout using “pre-funded accounts” and receive wholesale “At-Cost” domain name registrations for .COM and .NET domain names. This means a .COM domain will cost $8.03 and a .NET will cost $8.39. This includes registration fee to the registry as well as the $0.18 ICANN fee. This is what we call “At-Cost” domain pricing.

@daica85 - they are solid, been around since 2000, good support, most have reported less than 12 hour ticket response time

If you visit this thread, you will see a rep personally showed up to offer additional help

If you ask in that thread, the people who just signed up can chime in, my account is old

Maybe I will open an account on there and play around for researching. Thank you :)

Good luck to you,

Godaddy actually does the 99 cent thing every 2 years for old accounts. I reg'd a name one year, then like I just left it dormant for 1 year and change, then when I tried to reg a new domain, it was 99 cents again.

Not saying everyone should make 100 GD accounts and age them or anything. I wouldn't do that myself :P That's why dotster exists, ofc :D

Did you mean every 2 years, we will use 99 cents coupons again?
