Hello Mods & Mems,

I was wondering if a mod could be set to show "away" in the participants list.
And that server kicks anyone not set to away and not posting within a certain time frame.... say 30 mins or whatever is decided to be reasonable.

Strict, I know.... but please seriously consider the advantages of knowing who is avail to talk to and who is AFK.

Just a thought.

Yeah, there's a setting on the chat server to kick someone after x minutes of inactivity. Currently its set to 999.

We have a lot of chat regulars that like to go AFK in chat and stay logged in, so if we voted on this I bet the majority would prefer to keep it as it. I don't care either way.

I think it looks better for the chat to be full - whether its active or not

Also - The staff in there can't be active all the time (We have to work as well) - but if We are not seen in there , Anarchy would rule worse than it does most times already ..... I have to turn "off" Private Chat sometimes to get things done , but mostly leave it on in case there is a problem.

That would be better than kicking and would still allow you to see who's there or not.

Nope, we don't have that option available in the chat software.

I don't think it's a particularly big issue.
If someone is away they wont answer, you don't need a marker to resemble that.

I think that 999 inactivity should also be lowered its too high! I think more like 555 because if your inactive that long you deserved to be kicked!

It's good as it is. Many people even wait for Chat PMs only.
