Hello Everyone,

To remove the clutter and keep .CH domainers together, I feel it's better to have one thread rather than a bunch. So NNNN and LLL will be closed. Currently there are:

0 NNN for hand reg

1380 LLL for hand reg

6992 NNNN for hand reg(when I last checked a while ago).

I see tons and tons of .ch names unsold on Sedo, with no or little traffic. This makes me a little pessimistic about the future of .ch. What does everyone think? how close are we to a Takeoff?

@Joe Styler - misleading customers is not a great way of doing business... but it doesn't surprise me coming from GoDaddy. I have over 1500 valuable domains and none with GoDaddy - you can guess why. And if you can't guess here's a chat I had with one of your reps.

Code:
...this was after I spent 1/2h explaining this to some other rep. and the connection intrerrupted.
She didn't understand what I wanted to do in 1/2h but that's irrelevant...

Thank you for chatting with us! How may I help you today?
ME:Hi there. I was chatting with Chloe. Can you please transfer me?
...something interrupted the chat
Stan H.
Hi Alex. I'll be happy to. Let me see if she is online at the moment.
ME:ok, thanks
if she's not perhaps you could help me
Stan H.
I apologize. They don't appear to be online at the moment. I'll be happy to assist you. Can I get the 4 digit PIN on file for your account?
ME:it's ****
I need to move the domain uuuu.ch out of my account to the customer's account.
I know this can't be done automatically - so this is why I'm asking here :)
the account details of the customer where this has to be moved are:
********@*******.com User: *********
be right back - 5 minutes or so while you check the accounts
Stan H.
Okay I see. Unfortunately account changes are not supported for this country-code top-level domain (ccTLD). This features is not supported for some ccTLDs due to registrant update restrictions. I do apologize.
ME:Please read what your senior representative said on NamePros forum:
just a moment to give you the link
https://www.namepros…neral-discussion.914028/page-7
[...]
the 7th post on that page
Stan H.
Let me check into this further for you. I'll be a few minutes.
ME:sure
Stan H.
I'm having and admin take a look over this. I'll keep hecking in with you with updates.
ME:ok, I'll be around
Stan H.
My apologies for the wait. I have checked into this with an admin. They have researched this and there isn't a process to move the domain over to another account as mentioned in that post. I do apologies. Currently account changes are not supported for this ccTLD.
ME:Do you have the means to contact the guy who whote the post and ask him too?
You do realize he is representing GoDaddy's position for a rather large community.
*official position
Stan H.
I do apologize. I contacted an admin to clarify this and confirmed that this is not currently possible. My apologies for this. I did reference that post with them to be sure.
ME:OK, I'm going to add this chat session to that thread and also PM Joe Styler. Misleading the customer is not the best way of doing business.
Thanks for your time. Have a good day.

I am sorry but maybe you missed my last post earlier in this thread about a month ago answering someone else on this question:

Their Question:
@joestyler How about a response to my above post about GoDaddy's non action on the .ch extension after having promised to take care of it over 4 months ago-thank you.

My Reponse:
It is not something we will be doing in the near future. We analyzed it and there is a good amount of work to be done to make it happen.

@Joe Styler, you are twisting your own words. That post was a direct answer to the question "when will the owner change happen automatically / no support rep. intervention".
Anyway, good old GoDaddy deceitful style... not really news for me.
Where did that NoDaddy go? A.... right - you shut it up with lots of $$$ :)
Maybe I'll start a new one. You'd really deserve it. ;)

Mr Styler "there is a good amount of work to be done to make it happen" So what?? Does GoDaddy think the money we bought these .ch with fell from a tree. Please just get this issue resolved. Thank you.

I should probably mention here that Mike Carson from Park.io just bought his first LLL.ch name today. If Park.io starts to get involved with the .ch extension this will be an exceptional platform for .ch names. Mr Carson does what he says - period. You can go to the bank on it.

After a short discussion on Godaddy support chat, I received the following response:

"When I check with our support, that rule from the registry was set for account change restriction and there is no option to change that even creating a ticket"

What should I do to change the account of a domain?

If you would like to move the domain name to another person the easiest way to do so would be through a transfer to another company. Doing an account change for a .ch domain name is not possible at this time at GoDaddy.

You can transfer .CH domains to Gandi.net or Amazon for $0.00. This does NOT extend the registration date, but the transfer is nearly instant.

Then why do you /GoDaddy even sell .ch if you can't provide service with them? Thank you.
