I backordered a domain with Pool.com and it is now registered with hostmaster.ca. They don't seem much of a registrar.

I tried to log into their web site but had no success. I contacted them and received an automated e-mail with a user name, a password and a URL.

Problem is, that URL does not load! I tried the login screen on their site and the password is not accepted. I contacted them concerning the unresponsive link and got no answer.

Who can I turn to? I paid for nothing at this stage. Annoyed >:(

Welcome to .ca and pool wins...

Keep pestering them till they fix the problems for you. I had one end up there as well and it sometimes took a week for them to reply to emails/support requests.

Pool if you contact them will just tell you to contact the registrar. Is the domain pointing to a parked page as well?

Transfer it out when you can.

Hostmaster is not an actual registrar they are a hosting company, they do not have a domain management interface. During the initial 30 days while the domain cannot be transferred you must contact Pool.com to make any required changes to the WHOIS records. Once the no transfer period is up you must transfer the domain to your preferred registrar.

Well Richard, how do I go about having my whois details registered? I contacted the Pool customer service by mail but no response so far. The domain name is ranksafe.com.

Update: The whois details were updated. Thank you Pool!
