Catching dropped business names?

Anyone have experience catching a dropping business name, like lets say mrdavehandyman.com?

I was wondering because alot of them are still functioning businesses and it appears the owner made an oversite and forgot to renew it. Especially with the sites doing over 500 hits a month.

Worth it to catch and resell to original owner, or possibly a competitor? I'm eyeing one with over 3,000 hits a month, an established business in NY that is still in operation.

What are you thoughts on this?
