Earlier today I was on one of my sites and all of a sudden I couldn't connect anymore. I tried another site I have hosted there and it didn't work either. I figured the host was down, so I left it alone. I came back hours later and still I couldn't connect. I asked my friend who also has domains hosted there and he said it was working fine, and my sites were working fine too. Also I can't connect to his sites. So I'm guessing I can't connect to any sites hosted there. I can connect to all other sites fine.It is also not firefox because I tried IE too.

Is there any way to fix this? I tried clearing cookies and all private data. Is this my problem or my ISP?

Did you recently install Peer Guardian or similar software? I had a problem with PG blocking random sites because the IP's matched, so I had to disable it when I wasn't running uTorrent to be able to access those sites. If you have any kind of new firewall or IP blocking software that's probably the problem.

Nope. All I installed today was a few firefox addons, and I disabled them and still cant connect.

Have you accessed the site many times in quick succession. It is possible that you have accessed it too much which has caused software on the server to block your ip.

depends on the program that has actually blocked access

by knowing what software is instaled on the server. There are a lot of things that could have done it for example iptables is 1 thing.

Hpwever to be able to allow you to enter ironically you need access to the server to unblock the IP.

I know with my hosting company, sometimes they clean up or do something with the Apache server et cetera and forget to flip some switches or they forget to clear/flush their firewalls. When that does that, I immediately send steps I have taken. Majority of th times it ends up being them.

The sames been happening to me lately, allthough I dont know whats causing it just now and i'm not using PG, I can access some sites on my server, but not others, or none at all which is strange as their all running via a shared IP, which makes me beleive the url's themselves are being blocked somehow.

help would be appreciated

double check the heders you receive to see what error code you receive if any. Also check the DNS for the domains that sometimes work and sometimes do not.
