Despite HBK216's general frustration with domain appraisals, I believe they are quite useful and offer guidance, particularly to inexperienced domainers, on the types of names that pose the least risk and highest potential return on investment. In short, a second opinion is often a very good idea.

Save yourself the trouble in asking for appraisals. The process is a waste of time & you will never get a true answer. Each person can see a name different. 99% of people can say "reg fee" or so on a name. However that one person comes along & feels that is the name they need & want. You make a sale, & hopefully a profit. Now ask yourself how useful the opinions of those 99% turned out to be....
