Dang dude. You just told your whole life story with those 4 names. You believe numerics are a recent trend, definitely when smoking weed, and you have domain fever.

Didn't mean to psychoanalyze there. :D

I'm straight. I got too many...already, and are real good once. I like to invent SDN myself. I know Estibot would not give value for no ppc record. But my invention is worth more than Estibot and other appraisal bots valued. Like my zapbucks.com this SDN & TDN has lots of potential in the near future. Apple, Google and Microsoft are talking about fast transferring funds; via using phone. They are talking about quick & fast transferring funds; but fail to enclude in the talk about zap tech. Meaning should have the right gadget for this too. I got the name for them; they just need the right gadget for it and name that fits for their future plan. "ZapBucks.com" is perfect for this plan. The SDN & TDN, are not weak! :)

EVS, I like the number 2. Just need to think who's industry will be best for this name. Good luck.

Thanks man, I like it too.
How much do you think it's worth?

I'm not a man.

In my openion, I don't think you can have a solid value for the item. If you like the name, that's the value for it at this time. As most people would say, the value of your item is what the buyer is willing to pay. I have this experienced from school and selling stuff on ebays. That's just my thought ...

Hi Evs, for the appraisal, It's not bad and is worth a little above what you paid for it, perhaps $25, but it's a start and prices are moving up fast.

Be sure to try and avoid having the numeric end with a 0 if you can help it. Usually if it begins with a 0 or ends with a 0 it can hurt the value in this game. The numeric "pattern" of numbers with 8n is everything. Make sure the pattern makes sense and that it's easy to remember. There are also some good 7n still out there.

Keep up the good work!

Hey Pandemic, thanks for sharing your knowledge :)

Re numerics, I recently read an article by Giuseppe Graziano saying that numerics with zeroes at the end actually have a higher value (and the more zeros the better).

Cheers!

I would actually love to see that article if you can find it. It's been a suspicion that the Chinese buyers like the zeros, and that it was an American rumor (creation of) the 0's decreasing the value. I've noticed the run on domains with 6n beginning with a couple zeros. And also 7n. I recently pointed out on here that if you search for any numerics with 3 - 4 zeros that all of the extensions are virtually gone going up to 8n +. A lot of them. I found that as rather odd.

I'll sell you 078960.com for $135.00 if you want it.

Thanks but I'll have to pass. The numerics market seems too speculative for me (at least when it comes to numerics above 6 digits).

Good luck selling it though!

Ok no prob, it's not above 6 digits. It's a 6n .com and was just a thought though. I've got around 15 of them and not currently selling. I don't really want to sell any of them.

On another note, all of domaining is speculative. 100%.

Best of luck!

Right you are :)

Would you use hosting services for any of your domains?

Not at this time, but China and Asia sure are using them for websites, as is the rest of the world. China is big buyers on numerics, primarily because they were shut out of the .com market several years ago and they don't have much of a choice. And also numerics mean words to the Asian culture, so they are really big buyers. The U.S folk currently have around 94 mill .coms I believe (might include .net), and Asia / China which is much larger only has around 10 mill, so numerics are very important for them with regard to websites and .coms. Therefore, the buyers market is with China and the rest of the world. So the U.S. buys, and sell to the rest of the world like any other type of international exports, so to speak.

With Americans it's a little different and they hold a collector type of value as the market is limited and each numeric is unique. When the internet came around, it destroyed collectibles in general worldwide as the internet connected people, so people who thought they had rare coins, stamps, baseball cards, etc.... found that their collectible wasn't so rare anymore and there were many around the world. Baseball cards and coins that were once rare and worth a couple thousand, were suddenly worth $5 as there were many worldwide. So to a lot of people, numerics are almost collectibles like a modern day coin collection. It's really one of the only "collectibles' around, and I believe people "need" things like that. To me anyway, I just like collecting them at the moment.

Having said all of that, perhaps they will become websites of the future down the road 5 - 10 yrs. Who knows. I know American Express uses 1-800-The Card for their website. I also have my 800 number for my company forwarded to my website and I also put it on letters I send out as a secondary URL.
