Can you crawl other sites and use there videos?

I am interested in creating a video site, and was thinking about designing a script which crawls a select amount of sites and then streams the videos of those sites on my new site?
Is this legal on both adult/porn type videos? and also other types of videos?
Or do some sites allow it and other dont?

Well..... legal or not , it goes on all the time and if you do a search you will find several ready built scripts that will do this for you already, for cheap.

Well if they don't provide you with the actual embedding code like youtube then i would say it's illegal if it's original content. but what do i know.

I don't know about the legality, though. But as jgalty said, if they provide embedding code, then I would think it would be legal. But I'm not sure.
