Can UD.com be used for TM checking?

I would like to know if i find a name which is green on International, European and National TM checker at UD.com is it free to reg domain with that name? Thanks

I'm the marketing manager for UD.com, and I saw your question. I'm not sure if you're asking about the cost to register a trademark or the cost of a domain registration. In either case, the search on UD.com is free. However, registration for a domain or trademark does have an associated cost. I hope this answers your question!

I think what he wants to know is if he checks a name on UD and it comes back "green"(no registered TM found) if it would be safe for him to register that name

To answer Mitoks Question...there is no ultimate "green" on TM's

If no TM can be found doesn't mean you are safe to register a name of a company/individual/entity etc., there is still the possibility of cyber squatting.. one doesn't have to register a TM read more here:

My 2 cent: just don't register Company Names period

Yes liquidcherry, i wanted to know that I dont want to reg some company name, but i want to be sure sometimes that i would not reg TM by mistake, so thats why i wanted to know if it is enough to check ud.com

You cannot say they don't have correct data, that is just wrong....they just have the data what is publicly available but again there is more to a TM so the right thing to do would be check in as many places you can and than still doubt your plan...why would you register a possible TM name anyway?...<headshake> come up with your own name, don't squat on others property....

So the answer to TM searches on UD.com, yes they search publicly available information. We don't currently have the USPTO search up (that's a coming feature) but it does search for TMs registered nationally in Germany, TMs registered within the EU, and International TMs.

If you search for a trademark and it comes up green, that means our search has not found any publicly available matches in the registries for DE, EU, or INT.

Like any search, we have our limitations, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible.
