Part of my newish philosophy is try to use keyword dot ngTLD and no/few subdomains.
e.g. keyword dot web and keyword dot audio and keyword dot chat etc. for various functions of a site that needs more than one server. I think that scheme will start to catch on.
I think .science would be great for things like R&D department website, when Example Company wants to show off their research - example dot science.
The biggest problem with .science currently is that science sounds authoritative and it is cheap, and being cheap, it will be used by spammers and is being used by spammers.
But if they raise the price, say double it, then spammers won't be as attracted to it and the existing .science domains spammers are using they will let expire as they are added to blacklists.
If we encourage the registry to raise the price, do you think it can be saved?
