Hi, I've recently signed up to whypark and am just getting the hang of things. Im using the basic templates they supply and Google adsense.
As i'm sure most of you are aware, the current templates available to us aren't that sexy. So i thought there must be some tech savvy people that have created their own templates, custom built their own sites, anything you've done to maximise the potential of the sites, how you did it and if it's producing good results for you.
I would certainly be very interested in purchasing templates, designs, whatever you've done to improve the look and feel of my sites, and there must be many others who would do the same, creating high potential for an aftermarket in whypark compliant designs and templates. (or if you're a web designer come on in and create a product for us hungry consumers.)
So please post your sites and designs and show us what you've done.
There must also a lot of interest in finding out what ad layouts are working for different people. Maybe they're text and image, link ads, vertical or square. 2 blocks on top or 2 on bottom.
Maybe you change the colouring or shading, or do you just stick with the default settings. And which type of whypark page layout is best for these.
I'm a bit embarrassed to post these following examples as they are incredibly dull - but these are a few of the adsense formats i have placed on my sites (I think it may be a bit of over kill on the ad fronts, but i'd be interested in your views.)
Topofficejobs.com โ I like the ad layout (looks good on some PCโs (all adverts in a row) - but bad on others (two on top row and monster box below) โ are there too many ads?
Learnaboutwales.com โ seems to look good.
Homeinfestation.com โ similar to above but with link ads at the top.
So please start showing off your sites, and lets build a mutually profitable aftermarket for all whypark users.
P.S. Note to Administrator - I apologise if the content of this post is not relevant to this section - i wasn't too sure where to post it.
