Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience buying a .tv domain from TDNAM

What are the total costs for buying names from there ??

At the moment, there are many that are priced at $5 for example. However, what other fees are to be paid on top of this ??

Does one have to pay the amount listed, in this case $5, and then on top of that is the usual 39.95 registration fee that GoDaddy charge ???

Just wondering how it works, as I have never actually used TDNAM to purchase any domains before.

Thanks as always

Alex

Alex, I am pretty sure it is price + reg fee.

Yes, you pay $5 + renewal cost, don't forget to use this promo code GDM0420A to get discount.

After purchasing, the domain will be pushed to your account within 10 working days, you will see a "yours on date" to notice the actual arriving date.

However, the exowner still has chance to renew it during those 10 days, then you get nothing but refund. :)

Thanks very much for the replies - they were most aprpeciated.

I went ahead and bid for the name - it was $40 - but when I went through the checkout process, the price stayed at $40 - I am assuming that this is because it was a Buy It Now .tv and not an auction one ??

Anyway, I am quite pleased with it - but as it isn't in my account yet - I don't want to put it here and ask for any thoughts just yet.

Thanks again

If you buy the names in the "fire sale" those are domains gettin ready to expire. If im correct that domain will be yours IF the original owner does not pick it back up.

Good names to be had there that IS for sure :hehe:

Then this should be a BIN one selling by its owner. You could also tell this from its whois record. If it doesn't expire, then you are dealing with a seller.

Anyway, good luck, showcase your new gem when it is actually in your account! :)
