Hello NamePros members.
I would like to buy a domain I am interested in, but the domain is in the following condition.

1. Is this domain the commonly known Afternic Fast Transfer service?

2. If so, if I click the Next button and pay, does it belong to me? Or should the owner be notified after payment and get permission to sell?

I would be grateful if anyone with relevant experience could help.

Thanks in advance.

The transfer is either automatic and instant (no seller action required) or manual, which can be fast (hours) or slow (days). Both are secure ways.
Tbh, I don't know if the shopping cart will reveal the transfer type at some point before payment. Anyway, does Godaddy.com's exact search result show a "Verified domain" badge? Then you know it will be the Fast transfer, but it can be even without the badge. It's registered at Namecheap, so at least it is fast transfer eligible, but in the end it's up to the seller if they've opted in. Note, only .com .net .org .co .info .io .xyz .biz .pw domains (at Namecheap) are fast transfer eligible.

Very helpful for me. thank you!

I'm still curious about whether that domain purchase screen was arbitrarily set by Godaddy, or whether the domain seller wrote the minimum price and intentionally displayed the sales screen.

Because I'm afraid I'll get scammed when I complete the payment process haha

The asking price (and lease to own max period) is set by the owner/seller, otherwise what you see is all designed by Afternic/Godaddy (GD owns Afternic), who collects commission from the seller.

The bottom line is that if I purchase it, I can receive the domain normally, right? That screen isn't a scam, right? :xf.smile:
