It would seem so, as I believe the $10,000 mark at Sedo is the point at which a buyer becomes "verified/certified" in order to progress with the auction; thanks for the heads up, IMHO. :gl:

That's a question for Sedo ... I don't know how they set their price threshhold or go about their own cerification / verification process (and I'm certainly not bidding on Business ".TV"), IMHO. :gl:
On a related note; Business.com sold for $7,500,000 over 10+ years ago! :talk: :imho:

This is excellent news Mahesh, and really very early in the 'auction cycle'. I didn't expect the 10k cross until the final day.

I think everything is looking very positive for the final few hours of the auction.



Even the alternative auction has had second, third, even 17th bids more than when they started.

Thanks Mahesh...cause I am really optimistic on one hand and rather pessimistic on the other.

Amongst .TV enthusiasts, (even the legacy renewal owners,myself included) the recent news has been incredible. While its a punch on the nose for legacy owners,

They have the option to

1. Continue paying ransom fees year in year out - a virtual impossibility for high priced premiums.
2. Drop the names or a good portion of them and reacquire them in the aftermarket
3. Drop them all and start a new portfolio full of reg fee renewal premiums.
4. As some have hinted, a buyout of the premiums could well be in the works

For everyone else, there is a simple pricing structure for END USERS.

They do not need to be told the entire .tv saga. They just need to be told - here is what I want for the name and if you buy it, you pay regular renewals. Finished - simple to understand language.

The domainer market will heat up once there is regular renewal across the board IMO.

It has also presented a wonderful opportunity to build a nice portfolio of names that would have been cost prohibitive a few weeks ago....

But Enom needs to clean its act up and stop hiding in the shadows.

The success of .tv does not rest on the controversy of whether or not Frank Schilling still owns or dropped/gave back his small inventory of .tvs - the success hinges on all .tvs being uniformly priced with reg fee renewals...

I guess some may not have been aware of the "certified / verified" threshhold / status for bidding at Sedo; hopefully, at this point, some pre-approved, bonafide End users are now starting to consider getting in on the running Premium ".TV" auctions for their unique, stand-alone development plans! :gl:

Yes Mahesh, This is great News for .TV.
That is much better than I envisioned also since all of the action will definitely happen on the 8th, in the final hour. I am hoping/guessing that Business will go for 50K+.

and I still can't wait to see the Top 5.
I only have one of my picks in the current Top 5, (Jobs).
This will be very very interesting to say the least!
