snoop i dont think they will get much higher then they are now.

but after the auction the cat will be out of the bag on the true worth of dot tv,might even been a bad move to have it in the first place.

You're very quiet there, Nostradamus

Who was the highest bidder? :gl:

Thanks,
Jeff B-)

His name is Steve he is 32 from LA and is a Capricorn, he like fine wines and nights at home watching movies, he has 2 dogs a labrador and German Shephard.

Seriously Jeff, you know full well we have no idea who the winner is at this stage ,so if you don't want ridiculous answers don't ask ridiculous questions designed to try and be clever and detract from the fact you got it very very wrong about the auction.

You really are a tool.

Jeff are you pretending you don't know how auctions work. Have you ever been on SEDO, participated in an auction ? I am not being funny but you know they only identify as bidder 1,2,3 etc...

They have to pay, Sedo transfer the name and then we can see the whois.

Exactly.
Though, in the past, we have seen previous niche enthusiasts KNOW precisely who the bidder(s) / buyer(s) were involved in previous auctions IMHO; do you think the buyer here was someone other than an .TV Usual Suspect™?
IYHO.

Kind regards,
Jeff B-)

I don't know what a usual suspect is. That has no relevance. The only thing that matters is you sell a name for more than you paid. No one owes this extension anything, just like the extension doesn't owe anyone anything. Bottom line I doubt anyone looking to bid over $100,000 was giving any info on what they were doing with their bidding. So I don't know and I doubt anyone but Sedo knows who bid the $100,999.

I guess there will be quickly more and more '.TV Usual Suspects' as many as the gang of the wellknown '.COM Usual Suspects'. Lol who is kidding whom here ?

true, there are enough people on this board who forked over 10k in annual premiums and a few in mid xx,xxx to high xx,xxx in annual premium renewals.

This auction is ripe for these holders of crazy renewals to give the finger to enom, drop existing portfolios, and pay one off payments for keyword category killers like business, jobs, and geos like japan and germany and stunning two word ll.tvs like re.tv, ca.tv, in.tv, dr.tv.

This auction is far from over

and then factor in some .com holders who may go after a few to get skin in the game. To these guys 50-100k is peanuts...not saying any name will definately go that high, but at the same time, i dont see why not either.

Plus there are many names that are pretty low in the auction at the current time that will quickly climb toward the 10k verification ceiling

please, my name is millers, not nostradamus

So I don't know and I doubt anyone but Sedo knows who bid the $100,999.

Hopefully we'll all find out soon enough once the transaction actually completes, thanks for your patience. :gl:

Jeff B-)

WHo is this "we" you are referring to? I dont give two monkeys who owns it.

Perhaps you should start by owning your own prejudices against the extension.

You were so wrong in how you called the auction, and yet you are still having a dig at .tv. So no longer can you attack the prices you revert back to your development nonsense.

Time to take a bow and leave the stage.

As I've stated from the very beginning ... ALL THAT MATTERS is unique, stand-alone development(s) with this niche / vanity extension! :yell:

Some of my predictions seem to be lower than initial results ... but not one dime has yet to exchange hands, and we do not know the "buyer's" motivations; patience is a virtue (and is strongly recommended) IMHO. :gl:

Best wishes,
Jeff B-)

Your logic is so full of holes, Ive come to the conclusion that you are simply not worth it. You and a rational discussion are planets apart. I bid thee farewell. I have nothing of value to offer you other than common sense - which is something painfully obvious you do not possess.
Night night

No Jeff here is where you are wrong, first WHO elected you anything that you are laying down the gospel of ALL THAT MATTERS. That statement is so ridiculous on so many levels its not even funny.

To most people who own .tv which you are not one, what matters is selling their name for more than they paid. Another thing that matters is getting the perfect name for their development idea.

This is a domain extension, not a public service, not an indelible right, nothing more, nothing less. What matters is subjective since each person has their own reasons for regging names.

But here is a thought, tell me who you are, what you have done, what you own, what you have developed and what you have sold. Then your opinion has credibility. The problem with you here, is you have no cred. Except for other extensionists as Eyedomainous coined them, who want to chime in with you, you have no cred in this community. IF you feel people here regard your opinion in the same light as Millers, Jimbo,Skg,Argos,JohnTV,Ronnie Mckenna,MichaelBilyk,RL, Stone Roses,RPK,Len and 20 other people. You are seriously delusional.

Ahhh but the fable goes that they are all cheerleaders and that our hero as come to free the masses with his .tv rhetoric. This forum has always been balanced. The only person who could speak against that would be snoop and as I said in a thread that got deleted here. The difference was not someone liking the extension but not liking him and his antics. He has improved imo and that is rectified.

But the perils of this extension have been explained since day one. Avoid premium pricing over $500, don't try to flip premiums, quality over quantity, .tv will never be .com, develop your best names. etc.......

So whichever way anyone tries to spin it I have faith in the collective IQ here that knows todays auction was very good for the .tv extension. Again IMO

For an ccTLD that seems "foreign" to most, and generally has not been accepted / adopted by End users or developers, and is not established even after 10+/+ years ... yes, development is CRITICAL! :yell: :imho:

What happens in 2016 when the contract with Verisign™ expires? :guilty:

Today's unconfirmed initial auction results aside, I don't think I've varied from this stance (for development and "ecosystem") since Year 2000.

Jeff B-)

Oh my God Jeff, are you REALLY using the 'foreign' card?

I didn't realise we had to all wave the same national flag to be here. And that flag had to be yours.

Are you saying 'foreign' is bad?

What about .co.uk? or .de or .jp or .me?

Foreign, being unknown ... even after 10+/+ years, IMHO. :red:
