There's a thread in a sale section with 35 bumps. I think it may be time for NP to revisit its policy - not to make it too strict, but maybe to create a limit of 2-3 gratuitous bumps (not related to offers received) total for any sale thread.

Also, maybe a bump should be the same as a new post when it comes to being able to have 1 thread per 24 hours in each section.

I think its only fair to allow new posters a chance to have their posts read before they plunge downward!

:imho:

Thoughts?

Very good thoughts ... I used to close sales threads with heavy amounts of gratuitous and successive "bumps" - after PM'ing with the seller(s), IMHO. My reasoning, in addition to it being unfair to others who are posting their offers, was that the domain(s) could get a "stigma" ... and might be perhaps better to revisit in several weeks time in a new, fresh sales thread offering! ;) :talk:

I do not see a widespread problem with the current "bump" rules, though ... more of a case-by-case situation with crack Staff™ looking out for those wanting to post new sales threads/offers ... and not letting older or aged "bumped" ones getting too stagnant, IMHO.

Just my two sense.
