Curious how much people use this. I have no one on my buddy list. It's a feature I don't really need. But I have 12 people now on my ignore list. I wonder if that's a record here. :)

People get on my ignore list by proving to me they aren't intelligent or can't steer away from personal attacks in a discussion.

So how about you?

I have no one on my Buddy list as, essentially, everyone here is my long-term buddy IMHO ... but I have a few extremely desperate Rosiesโ„ข in the "dot Mobey" forum on my Ignore list who - still to this day and against all evidence to the contrary - continue on with desperate, immature drivel and personal attacks! :guilty: :imho:

Good riddance to them ... and that long, awkward extension! :guilty:
Happy Halloween! :ghost:

I don't believe in ignoring anyone...too much like burning bridges and a little small minded.

As for buddy list...well, I don't really know any of you personally, so no offence, I don't have a buddy list. :)

Last time I updated my buddy list was about two years ago. So that should tell you how much I use it. ;)

Wow. 138 on ignore.
The majority of these have ended up here because:
(a) they have acted somewhat unprofessionally, in a sales thread for example, and I want to make sure if I don't end up having a similar experience
(b) continually posting on the discussion board with thinly-veiled spam or those that try little tricks such as 'I have started at Sedo auction, it is at $70 but someone's offered $2600 by email, can I cancel the auction? What should I do?! See the auction link in my signature, oh and it just happens to be an affiliate link too'.
(c) posting an awful lot of garbage, i.e. poorly-constructed and/or poorly-thought out posts for a long time. Very few get on to the list this way but there have been a few who just don't seem to learn anything. I find skipping their posts makes threads more useful.

Whilst I can see your point, generally I see as making sure I don't get burned in the future- a sort of warning flag.
Or in the rare case, just making my NamePros experience more enjoyable by skipping out the odd garbage post. :)

I actually have noone on my ignore list. I do think that people can improve their attitudes and mature over time and so I always leave myself open to all the posts here. I've come up against some pretty abrasive individuals but the easiest way to deal with them is to just hold strong and be mature yourself. As soon as you let emotions get the better of you, you're being as bad as them.

Even a broken watch is right twice a day, I'd never put anyone on ignore.
