I think once the name is published they look for buyers.

Alright but my name has not been accepted. infact, it is showing pending review. Or is the name not brandable enough.
One more question, is one's name guaranteed to sell on BB?
Thanks.

If it's guaranteed , people won't be selling accepted and published names for xx

One's name is not guaranteed to sale anywhere.

I recommend you read through the threads on NPs to get a better idea of the business that you are engaging in.

BB is just another venue which we can use to showcase and sell our digital assets. It in no way guarantees a sale.

What most new people to domaining don't realize is that most people fail miserably and loose money.

You will need a solid understanding of the market, quality and quantity of inventory, a lot of patience, a lot of research time, and a bit of luck to be successful.

The fact you like it its top3 metrics for me
Thanks Don, but I'm also biased on this one. When I couldn't get J/i/m/m/y/y I went ahead and regged J/i/i/m/m/y which was/is published on BB. However I think you have the better of the two names :)

So if anyone want a Jimmy name... :)

Devils Advocate: If bb wasn't selling domains on their platform, people wouldn't be buying accepted / published domains for XX. These things have sold like hotcakes this past year on NamePros.

You guys miss one important detail with smiile and that is the visual of it.

smi_ile, you can connect two i-s with an arch and it will look like a smile.

It is hard to make a brand where the meaning is inside the way it is written...

That said, I would not be surprised if BB rejected smiile altogether...

Yeah anything can be rejected at anytime, can never predict with 100% certainty which way they'll go except maybe with really clear winner CVCV or something. But they've been pretty liberal about accepting double letters.

If accepted, maybe it would have been listed at $3,000 or so?

I have noticed a sudden influx of BB accepted names with repeating letters and that got me thinking. Does BB adjust their acceptance quota of certain kinds of brandables, depending on how many of those kinds of names are selling? just curious.

Not sure, but my first and only sales was a repeating letter recently

But as long as people remain willing to pay the fee, I don't see how they would phase it out

Oh I don't blame brandbucket. They're doing very nicely. I have concern for the sellers.

They're absorbing absolutely no risk whatsoever and have created an incentive for themselves to accept as many names as possible (including bad ones).

Brandbucket get paid whatever. They don't really care if sellers names are actually any good, have a chance of selling or just get buried in the heap. All the same to them, thanks for the $10 B-)

I mean some of the double letter nonsense I'm seeing get accepted is just them blatantly improving cash flow by getting more listing fees.
