I would say TravelForest is much better than TravelSizzle as it can be branded much better

Can travel sizzle? Can it got with sizzle?

Words like forest, fort, can easily go with travel as they can imply great, big, gigantic, solid. IMO

I agree, and sizzle also means "One of the many slang terms for the drug OC" according to UrbanDictionary.

Ex:

Very difficult to offer much thought on most brandable rejects, but these 2 stand out:

PayPricks isn't a very nice brand anyone would want IMO, while FashionPrada is so full of TM issues you might even want to drop that from your portfolio TBH.

i got a name accepted in less than 12 hours today despite having over a dozen waiting in the cue for more than 4 days.

moral of the story....great names get fast tracked in the approval process.

It is good but do you think they thought maybe people might not like it as it might sound like BellaBeach? I know P when pronounced is called aspirated and that air is big throug the lips( lol remembered phonetics and phonolgy class in college) but some people and many non natives cannot actually differentiate between B and P so maybe that is where it lost, the radio test. Then again, everything is weird sometimes as they accept or reject whatever they please these days for I have seen the 5Ls and the extra vowel/consonants . See now Cashlr is featured. If I had that, I wouldnt evwn thinj of submitting as I believe it fails in every part.

Radio Test? LOL Half the names on BrandBucket don't pass the radio test.

I don't think it is purely great names, but also patterns. I believe the reviewing is also done in patterns (just a feeling, nothing to back this up. I had my CVAAV domains accepted in no time, but the ones that were accepted later had mostly higher prices. So all in all, I think it is a mixture of names that really stand out and short domains with a specific pattern. Those will be reviewed faster than others.

The new search algorithm seems to be a little strange to me...

If you search Tech then the top 3 results are H/A/X/L/Y, Z/I/M/V/U, and V/O/M/U/X. Why do these rank so high for the keyword Tech?

Out of the first 15, only 2 contain the word Tech. Tech/Potion and Traveling/Tech. The other 13 are invented.

(Of course someone could click "Keyword" to filter out the invented names but it does seem like the keyword names should have more weight in the "All" search")

This seems to be the case. My guess - there is 1 reviewer that approves / denies the ones that fall into guidelines they have set for invented names. Most invented names seem to get accepted or rejected quickly. Then if it's "above their pay grade" or a two word domain they seem to kick it down the line to one or two other people until your name is ultimately accepted or rejected.

This is just a guess of how it works after submitting and receiving a lot of accepts and rejects...

Hmmm... Maybe a bug in their new algorithm? I am guessing they are trying to give more weight to invented names so that they will come up in the searches and could be found - seeing as how they are taking on a massive influx of them.

My concern is that they are giving them slightly too much weight causing the search, and as you point out the related names, to be less useful to the end user searching for a name.

In the end we all want the end user (buyer) to have a great experience. This benefits BB, the sellers, and the buyers all at the same time.
