I agree with Dominic. This should be a case study of how a bad domain name creates an instant failure. You would think a company that sells brandables would know to use a better domain name.

I would rather list my names with 22,000 others than to list them on a site that as no shot at selling any names.

I did not, but their domain is as bad as their website design. I doubt this is a serious competition to BB.

LimoDomains has been around longer, and still nobody has heard of them. Their logos are terrible. However, their price model ie $2995 $1295 is worth noting.

Since @AndrewRice is a Brand Ambassador and has been working with BrandBucket for many years I think BrandBucket should buy him a Namescon ticket. Hell, he's given you guys $10,450 worth of submission fees to list his 1,045 names. Give the guy a ticket!

One thing I noticed, virtually all the names are aged out.

I've sold a number of 'young' names from my portfolio, but most of them were what I'd consider top tier names, ie S/U/R/E/S/C/I/E/N/C/E and M/O/B/I/A/G/O.

Today marks a month with zero sales for my 490 domains portfolio on BB. The difference between my last sale and the one before was almost 2 months! I do consider the quality of my portfolio to be amidst the best there. That makes my annual sales roughly at 1 sale every 1.5-2 months. which is less than 2% a year.
I dont get parking revenue as well. Dont get to negotiate with buyers, and get a 30% cut + logo + listing fees.

If I sell 1-1.5% outside BB, I might be in a better financial position!

Some serious decision soon... most probably... and Unfortunately

I personally never list my best names with BB or BR. Make sure you be in control of your own premiums, you want to know exactly who's inquiring on them and deal with these end-users yourself. I see you have OnlineCareer.com with BB. I would NEVER list a domain of that caliber on any of the brandable marketplaces unless they cut me a deal on the commission and keep me updated on all offers and inquiries.

By my experience with naming start-ups and sales .... meaningful and correct spelling one or two-word is preferred and easy to sell than fancy names.

For example: OnlineCareer.com i feel is far better than careerzo, careersy, careerzy, careeria .. When you pitch fancy names, clients land up changing some alphabets themselves and start looking for cheaper alternative spellings. Real words can have value in both brandable community as well as traditional domaining. Got real value to them

Fancy 4L are nice. Some 5L ok too. But beyond that real words is what people around me seem to like.

I agree with you, you'd expect 1 sale every 4 weeks with 500 names and your portfolio looks decent. I haven't been all the way through it, looks like you have more short one word names than two word?

I agree with you, you'd expect 1 sale every 4 weeks with 500 names and your portfolio looks decent. I haven't been all the way through it, looks like you have more short one word names than two word?

Yes we have a lot of short 4-6 letter pronounceables within the portfolio, but we also have great 2 word combinations, like RocketCloud, OnlineCareer, and TextAlerts .. These are just a few... I think these are ones of the best on BB as a whole! They are a great marketplace, but just too crowded, I seem to have smaller to chance to sell within the crowd than I used to previously!
