The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Started getting some of mine from two weeks ago approved today -- pretty quick turnaround. I submitted 80, out of the first 10 they reviewed today I've gotten ~33% in - all hand regs.

Timestamp - I have my own theories about why they include already chosen names. My guess is that it helps them identify which voters are in line with their views on domain worth (IE those who almost always choose the BB preferred domain) and then weight their votes higher, compared to the general populace. I'm sure some people just click randomly to get points - that would help decrease the weight of their vote.

@ApeXX - interesting idea about the voter weight scaling.

I think it would be an amazing insight if BB were to provide the following info for each Seller (for the names each Seller submits to BB)...

Seller Dashboard:

1. Domain Submitted, [already provided under the "Submitted" tab]
2. BB Accept/Decline. [already provided under the "Submitted" tab]
3. BB Suggested List Price. [already provided under the "Submitted" tab]
4. Voting hot/not statistics (count of hot, count of not) for each domain - in my inventory.
5. Count of times the name is clicked on per BB search result that it is displayed for - in my inventory.
6. Count of "Type in Traffic" average / month - in my inventory.

By expanding the "Submitted" tab for each Seller to include # 4-6, this would provide each of us feedback that could help us individually reflect on the types of names we are submitting and would help us to improve our submission practices. An automated feedback loop for each Seller. Plus, this would be extremely educational to tie the hot/not running tallies for each of our names, and the click counts / display as a metric to see what type of names we are submitting are getting traction in the eyes of buyers.

@ApeXX's idea got me thinking... "what metrics would inspire me to submit more... and better names".

ps: @michaeljkrell and @AndrewRice - I copied you as food-for-thought as you consider your new training program (or possibly an idea you might want to share with BB mgmt if you feel the expanded Dashboard idea is not a bad idea). I hope the suggestion is helpful.

Thanks for the suggestions, Slim. A more comprehensive seller's dashboard is in the embryo stage :)

@michaeljkrell -

Terrific news!

Glad to hear an enhanced dashboard for Sellers is on your radar / under consideration.

As investors, many of us utilize data to support our capital decisions. I am all for putting additional capital to work acquiring domain inventory when there is a mutually aligned interest / collaboration established. Data is an asset, a tool, in the decision process.

Also, I should mention... thank you for your prompt / candid responses. It's refreshing, engaging, and much appreciated.

-Jim

I would love to see an option there to withdraw sales proceeds to Payoneer and some stats about the visitors to the published domains.

I submitted quite a few this month and the ones that I submitted on June 4th and 5th have already been reviewed - much faster than in the past. Only 9 of 20 were accepted, but I'm okay with that because some of the ones that weren't accepted have already generated some interest elsewhere (I am only using BB as I had to put some dev plans on hold due to family). :)

Thanks!

In the last batch, got only about 6 accepted out of 35! lol
among refused ones : macaveli, cloudisphere, insanelaunch, nitrowallet, equiful, sucron, bauzer, wealthini
among accepted ones : wolfza, crushia, igniteful, loadler

can't complain too much as overall I would have about 170 names once the logos are done of around 20 names pending logos, but can't really understand with certitude what to submit exactly anymore

Submitted 17 Domains on Date: 2015-06-07 but still showing Pending Review. I didn't notice any change in BB performance. @michaeljkrell I'm expecting good performance from you on BB.I know you are not a magician and cannot change everything overnight but if you are trying to make it better than Signs of your work should be shown by now,

I think it would be unfair to say that.

The domain I submitted on 2015-06-03 has been reviewed yesterday and approved by the way (vocalsy.com). That was amazingly quick. Only two weeks compared to 6-7 weeks not too long ago.

I have a theory on why Brandbucket has a voting system in place. I'm no web developer, but is it possible that every time you cast a vote, a unique page is created and cataloged (think about how many times we all have voted to get credits)? Basically, is it a way to get more unique page views for the site and thus increase site ranking? It's pretty brilliant if that's the case but I have no clue.

It would be a good trade off. Essentially waiving the "listing fee" in exchange for helping Brandbucket stay on top of the search engine rankings.

Apologies if this has already been discussed. I try to stay on top of reading this thread but it can be difficult to stay up on it.

Just wanted to give you guys an update. Our publishing queue has been completely full for at least the last month, and our submissions reviews are right at 2 weeks. We are working on getting that down even more.

Thats Great even 2 week time frame is good but if you guys bring that down in days. There will be no BB competitive . Looking forward to that.

Good Luck...!

Well done on those sales. I see you're now over 600 names listed, so you also seem to be growing your portfolio at a nice clip of late.

Can I ask how many sale you've had in last 6 months?

Thanks for the kind words. :)

The vast majority of my names have only been listed on BrandBucket for about three weeks. In those three weeks i've had two sales. V*A*Z*O*O*L*A and W*I*K*K*R.

During the early part of the year (before the vast majority of my names were listed on BrandBucket), I only had a handful of sales.

Brandroot has a consistent turnaround of around 2 to 3 weeks from submission to listed.

You clearly don't know anything about SEO.

That is a 5.8% annual sell-through rate.

Thanks for that.

Be careful - based on just a 3-week window and only two sales I'd imagine the error rate in your calculation would probably be higher than the percentage you mention.

Dude, I said I didn't have a clue in my post and that I was just theorizing. Everybody here has different knowledge bases about different things. There's no need for a pompous and arrogant reply like yours. Why don't you be constructive and explain why my theory couldn't be true?

A few pages back there was a discussion about if one could create their own logos. Just wanted to update that I went ahead and applied and have been approved to create logos. The process was very easy and if you have the skills, you may want to consider it.
