Hi NPs,

It must be beginners luck. Less then 2 weeks after listing I have been informed that my domain was sold. I do not want to jinx it so you will hear more info after all is finished and I have funds in my bank.

Just wanted to share to elevate your spirits.

After 40 days BB accepted my domain. I only sent 3 until now, 2 were rejected. That is my first domain there.

Congrats, 33% success rate is not bad at all. I have 5/18 right now. Hope to get better with my new batch :)

I've tried a few brand marketplace platforms and all around I've had the best experience with BB. They give an immediate email confirmation when I submit. Then I wait of 4-5 weeks for my DNs to get reviewed. After acceptance I find they go live after 10 to 14 days. BB gives email notifications at every step of the way and I like that. Very professional compared to the others I've tried.

So their review wait is longer than some other platforms but they make up for it in other areas in my opinion. And the review wait is more understandable when you know see their submission rates. As of mid 2013 they were getting 400+ submissions per week and their acceptance rate was around 8%. By the Fall 2014 they were accepting 20% of the more than 500 DNs submitted each week. As a result they have expanded their inventory over the past year which is good for customers and should be good for BB's bottom line too.

How that effects our bottom line as sellers remains to be seen. I think the startup business is peaking now with venture capital spending at its highest levels since 2008. So the good times are rolling and BB is gearing up in the hopes of re-establishing dominance in the industry now that they have so many competitors. The main problem I see is that the stock market's 7 year bull run is not sustainable and I don't know how hard it's going to fall and what that inevitable bear market is going to do to the rate of new startups and our precious niche marketplace(s). Time will tell.

Hi Bradbucket experts,

Is it just me seeing this? I am watching branbucket closely and it seems to me that in past couple of weeks new items listed there are appraised for much higher then before. Of course some names are obviously good but others .... well I do not see it. What is the opinion on prices recently submitted domains?

BTW: When did you submit is the most current domain which already went through review?

I agree. They've stepped up their pricing. What I've noticed is that a higher percentage of their accepted domains are above the $2,000 avg sale mark. I think they are seeing a trend and are pricing what they see the market will now bear.

I've definitely noticed higher values on average on the past week's listings. I wonder though if those all could have been batched together because they are higher priced.

It seems now that they are doing a review sweep of 9-10 days worth of submissions at a time. So I would guess the next sweep would go from March 10th to March 19th/20th. Then there may be a wait for a few weeks, and then another review of the 9-10 days. This may be totally wrong, but it is what I have observed from the last few cycles.

My experience is that both of my previous reviews were done on Friday, so I have assumed they go once a week or maybe 14 days. But lack data does not allow to run in depth analysis :)

To answer your question - No (not from what I have observed and agree with @wwwulff )

From what I have observed...

Over the past 4 months the process has been linear and consistently has been a revolving 45-50 day cycle from the Submit date.

The Review Cycle appears to be date driven based on Submit date.

Review Cycle (Accept/Decline) ~ 40 days, followed by Seller write-up, followed by their Writer's Polishing, followed by Logo Design ~ 10 to 15 days, followed by Final Review and Publish to the site.

So every time I see my Logo Queue "cleaned-up", I get ready for another Review Cycle email, and sure enough... it shows up within 5-7 days later.

I hope the overview is helpful...

-Jim

This has been my observation as well............

Well I guess I have a couple more week to wait. But kudos to them for communicating promptly. I wrote to ask how much longer it would be, not really expecting an answer. But I got an email the next day. The only thing I think they could do better is to change the language so that it reflects a more accurate review time. This would help them in managing the expectations of their customers. I think it currently still says that it takes 2 to 3 weeks to review submitted domains.

@brandpluck -

I agree.

I too have observed a 9-10 day sweep at a time during their Review Cycle.

Given their last cycle was April 15th and that a Review Cycle normally follows a logo push, I am guessing their next Review Cycle will be @ Tuesday, April 28th for the Submit dates of March 10-20 (the same expectation as you mentioned). I still have a dozen or more names in the Logo Queue, so anticipate they'll get completed by this weekend and we'll see a Review Cycle shortly thereafter (at least that's the pattern I've observed that a Review Cycle follows a Logo Push).

Good luck on the next cycle...

-Jim

ps: To the comment about their support - yes, Julia (sp) has always been prompt and professional with her responses.

+1. Also noticing a step up in pricing. The last 5 of my names accepted had a combined suggested list total of $18.5k.

While any price increase may be based on the general market, it's worth bearing in mind that this could also be business-driven. They know their own sales level, and maybe the lower pricing over past 6 months didn't result in the increased volume/turnover they expected.

Regardless higher pricing is certainly good for the sell side.

The oldest submission I have in the queue is March 13. Prior to that names submitted on March 3 were reviewed, so cut off is likely somewhere in between.

Very good point, just because BB is trying new pricing model does not automatically mean that they will succed in selling those names. Having higher price could actually lead to loss of revenue for some sellers since the price will deter potential buyer. Lets hope the price increase in mostly market driven :)

They have increased prices, because customers almost always purchase name with buy now button. Not with inquire. So it is right move to increase prices. And they will not lose any customers. As they didn't doubled prices, they just increased them by 10-30%. End user won't even notice.

Does anyone have any experience listing 4Ls on BB? I'm wondering if they tend to sell any faster than other names.

I too have been watching BB very closely. Out of the last 560 approved and listed, 300+ belong to Michael Krell.

Prices have gone up. Queue is now taking 6 weeks+ to be reviewed.

Look at the sales listed in this thread over the last few months... this is a one man show.

Says it all really.

Great input - might explain the price increase. I do expect he might have something to say in the pricing of his domains.
