I have sold 14 names on BB, 4 on BR, 1 on NR. All of them are handreg at about $9 each.
Thanks very much for the insight - it is always appreciated. May I ask how many names you have listed on BB to get 14 sales?

Nice to get some more stats here. It looks like you've been a member for 3 years, so do you reckon you've managed to move ~5% p.a. via BB?

You obviously have a good eye for pure brandables, and looking at your portfolio you do have a knack for making up brandable names:

brandbucket.com/profile/moniker

From my experience most of my sales have also come from handreg or closeout names, but as you get to higher value names you can rarely pick these up at handreg. Yes, you can make a higher profit %, but raraly a higher absolute profit.

Not saying you cant profit from handregs, but it's harder IMO to build a good portfolio exclusively from reg-fee names. Take a look at MediaPlow and you'll see he goes for 2-word niche brandables, and many of these he's picking up at auction/drop.

It's about 170 names (most of them are listed in this year, my first 2 years with BB only had 20~ names listed.

I agree with you, it's hard to get a very high-value good brandable (or any good) names with handreg. But it's possible to get a 'nice' return with it.

lol..yeah, most of them are handregged at the same day about a year ago

Thanks Rizki for valuable input, It would be nice if Brandbucket and others would release those numbers on monthly bases.

I do agree that your portfolio is among best I have seen and I am glad to see your success. Its a great motivation for all of us.

You have mentioned that most of then have been registered this year, by that do you mean in 2015 or within last 12 months?

One more question if you do not mind to answer. Did you get any inquiry on your names which did not come through their service?

Thanks for your kind reply and good luck.

I am still waiting on approval (6 weeks) :(

I agree that is a nice portfolio. I wonder though... since BB makes you go exclusive if you lose time... that is, I sell a lot of names via GoDaddy Premium and some via Sedo. By going BB - you lose these sales channels. I just wonder if it's worth the wait. (I have listed 7 with BB and one sold). I would list more brandables with them... but this is my worry.

I mean within last 12 months, sorry for being unclear before.

Thanks for the nice words.
In my opinion, pure brandable names (invented word, no actual meaning) will sell better in brandable name marketplace like BB, BR, or NR rather than generic ones like sedo or godaddy. The buyers might buy the name that they've never think about before they found it on BB/BR/NR. It gives them the ideas.
For keyword names, it might sell better on sedo or godaddy because the buyers usually already has the ideas which names that he/she will buy, imho.

It makes sense to me as well... and I thought something similar which is why I placed a few names on BB to see how they performed. I still sell more brandables via GD Premium (surprising to me since people have to think of the name before typing it there). Rather than seeing it on BB and loving it. My issue is, how many people see the names on BB? It would seem to me it wouldn't be very known among corporations or small start ups. But hey, I've sold 1 of 7 names so far - so I'm not complaining. I'm just trying to place names in the place where they have the best chance to sell.

Congratulations - I have received my payments within a week.

What was the name?

The name I sold was Favly.com. It was a drop I picked up a few years ago. Listed it via BB less than a year ago after it didn't sell via GD/Sedo.

And I was paid in one week just like you - pretty fast imo.

The only thing that bothers me is that they took >36% commissions (listing fee +their fee + logo fee). That's a lot of money to take! I never thought anyone would take more than GoDaddy premium.

But don't you think that the price of the domain is significantly higher than when being sold on GD auction?

I was looking on some 4 leters . com which are on BB and I would see them go around 2000-3000 on normal auctions but they are listed more the 10.000.

What is your opinion?

I don't sell via GD Auctions... I sell via GD Premium. The name I sold via BB did not sell for higher than what I generally get via GD Premium. I rarely use GD Auctions and do agree - names there sell for less, which is why I rarely use them. Sedo also seems to sell for less. I list via GD Auctions and list a the same GD Premium BIN price solely as a marketing tool to get the names views (especially brandables like the one I sold) so people become aware of it and hopefully it sells. I like the idea of BB... I just worry about the exclusivity due to their lack of reach. If I were able to also list solely with GD Premium I'd give them a lot more of my names.

Same here, 40 days, still waiting.

The oldest submit date I have that is "Pending Review" is 02/02/2015 (41 days) as of today.

What is your oldest submit date that is "Pending Review" (as of today)?

-Jim

ps: I just had a group of logos cleared out from backlog (completed) this week... so I'm guessing we should see a Review Cycle this Tuesday/Wednesday... that's the pattern I have observed the past 4 months that a logo clean-up is followed by another Review Cycle.

Mine is Feb 6. Also had a logo done last week -- all caught up on logos, although I was only waiting on one.

Mine is from February 1st. :(.

Is the review process getting faster once you have couple in?

@muttus -

To answer your question - No (not from what I have observed and agree with @wwwulff )

From what I have observed...

Over the past 4 months the process has been linear and consistently has been a revolving 45-50 day cycle from the Submit date.

The Review Cycle appears to be date driven based on Submit date.

Review Cycle (Accept/Decline) ~ 40 days, followed by Seller write-up, followed by their Writer's Polishing, followed by Logo Design ~ 10 to 15 days, followed by Final Review and Publish to the site.

So every time I see my Logo Queue "cleaned-up", I get ready for another Review Cycle email, and sure enough... it shows up within 5-7 days later.

I hope the overview is helpful...

-Jim

I got one name rejected a couple days ago. It was submitted on 1-Feb-2015. On that date, I have another name submitted, but that one is still on pending review.

I will say that there have been a couple of times when I have forgotten to remove a name from GD Premium, and the name has sold on BB for more than it was listed on GD. Then I go and remove it quickly :)
