It seems like Brand Bucket is trying whatever they can to increase sales. I think sales have dropped for them but only Margot knows that. Sites like Namerific, Brandroot and all the other small ones that have popped up are taking away many sales from BB. They changed their site to hopefully boost sales. They are going back through old unwanted inventory to see if they missed a gem. I have sold 4 on Namerific and only 1 on Brand Bucket. Brand Bucket's quality control has come down from a couple of years ago and I think it has affected sales.
Tomorrow will be exactly one year since this thread was started and a year ago everybody was talking brandable this and brandable that but in the past few months on this forum brandables have become cold. A year ago they had tons of names being offered to them but not anymore. They want to increase inventory but they don't have enough inventory being offered to them so they are going back through the rejects.
It's easy to keep your head above water when you can get 10 bucks a name and approve 20 or 30 a day to break even. It's simple math, approve 20 a day and you get $80,000 for the year to cover expenses. For all those that got into brandables a year ago and didn't sell any or very few are now 1 year later dropping those names and getting out of brandables because it didn't pan out. Brand Bucket should have taken care of the hand that feeds it which is us. Take 2 or 3 months to approve submissions, charge an ungodly commission of 30% and continue to blow people off and down goes the ship. The new brandable market will not have a 30% commission that's for sure. Things are going to change in this market.
