.Com only.

Thanks,

Is there any type of service for the ccTLD's like BB?
Would this be considered a difficult task because they are region specific?

Thanks, these are all very useful data,

I wish we could also see how many actual hits (visits) our domains are getting at BB.

IMO
:? And 'why' should they provide these stats that are not now, or never have been requested of, from Sedo, Afternic, GD, etc.?? Just so a few domainers can get a 'feel good' or 'bad', on their 'oh boy my (made up) name got accepted somewhere' egos? I mean seriously, why should they provide this info that no one never asked of before? Not being condescending or down on brandables, just curious as to why 'now' it's important.

Sedo and Afternic both provide offer views info. Go Daddy provides info as well.

Oh BB is a much smaller outfit and probably does not want to get into that, its a luxury that would be nice but certainly cannot be expected imo.

I think with the Brand Bucket TOS people need to think hard, because if you go with Brand Bucket you cannot promote and sell your name anywhere else. Now they have had the best track record in the brandable boutique space, but each domainer has to think do I want to hitch my wagon to just one horse ?

A good mix probably will work the best.

I have 11 names at BrandBucket and 27 at Namerific. I have no idea if my names get looked at on BrandBucket but on Namerific they track the views. Everyday I check in to see what type of names are getting views. Some things you can learn from the tracking are

1. does a name with a keyword get better views?
2. does a good 5 letter low priced name get more views than a good 5 letter priced high?
3. do mashed together names get more views?
4. does completely made up words get more views?
5. do names that I think are great get views and if not maybe I can change my direction in naming
6. does two word domains get any action?
7. why does a name that I think is great get only 100 views and a name that I think is not as good get 400?
8. is the name getting views because of price or quality of the name?
9. do people like names with certain types of endings?

I can go on and on because there is so much information you can gain from knowing how many views a name gets but I'm not going to sit here an hour making a complete list.

I think hookbox said it all in this post:

(by the way how can you be a domainer for so many years and not know how important the stats are to domainers. D-: )

I don't believe I said, in fact I didn't, say they weren't important. Just wondered why they were 'now' needed and not ever before.

Stats have always been important and needed as far as most domainers were concerned, but as Ray already explained perhaps itโ€™s because that BB is a smaller operation and needs more time to grow and add all the features that we expect them to have.

As if SEDO , etc. are good examples how a domain sales marketplace should always be.

I like sites like BB or Namerific, because they are NOT like Sedo and because they were created for a specific niche and are different than those fat ass huge walmarts.

By the way, Namerific shows the number of views.
It is not essential, but it helps to see which names draw more attention than others.

By the way, if you park names at sedo, you see such data too anyway. And if you don't park at sedo, you usually park somewhere else, so you always have some kind of data.
So when we redirect to BB, they could offer the data (i think Margot was thinking about it and wanted to implement it in the interface anyway).

The difference is that these numbers usually wont be type-in traffic, but people browsing through the names at those sites and viewing your name.

One of my names at namerific has attracted over 47000 views in 4 days!!!!! It's only $1000 so someone should have grabbed it!!!! Maybe we should add another couple of zeros to the price!!! Older names only have views in double figures so something must have gone amiss somewhere.

I was surprised that one of my names "sqirts" was declined by both bb and namerific. Its a big carwash business here in Oz, so thought it would be a good one for any high pressure washing biz, or even for a kinder like "little squirts" etc. Anyway, i am always surprised when a name that i think is crappy is picked over one i think is good.

My names have views from 100 to 400.
All listed since 3 or 4 weeks.

Maybe because squirt is slang for female ejaculation??!

I found this story and its interesting because the name is not listed as sold on Brand Bucket in the 680 names list.

Several years ago I hand-registered a number of pronounceable and brandable 5-letter domain names. Domains like these have already become a rarity in a fairly short time. I submitted one of my favorites, โ€œJabsy,โ€ to BrandBucket last year where I listed it for sale at $3,999. The domain received an offer yesterday for $2000 and I accepted it.

Just like my first GoDaddy premium listing sale earlier this month, BrandBucket received a 30% commission on the sale and there was additionally a fee for logo design and marketing. My take-away this time was $1,300 or about 162 times my initial registration cost of $8.

I guess back in 2011 when this was written they were not buy it now.

They have always been "buy it now" the buyer just contacted BrandBucket and made an offer on the name and the owner accepted it. Same thing happens today. When you list a name at BrandBucket you can choose a preset amount of discount (5%, 10% etc..) if you would like so that way if someone calls or emails BrandBucket then they don't have to contact you and instead give a discount based on your preset amount if the buyer wants a better price. If you choose the No discount option a person can still make an offer and they will contact you to see if you will accept it.

Thanks yeah it seems Mark had regret about the sale and the fact the buyer thought he acquired the name for $500, if only they knew he handregged it.
