Hey guys can you share what service are you using for your landing pages? Does it really improves the conversions instead of having 2 step landing pages (Parking page leading to the contact page).

What is the best strategy to optimize the end user sales.

If someone has tried Bodis, Efty and Uniregistry can you share the experience?

Besides Efty, Undeveloped, and DomainManage, has someone tried DomaHub.com ?

Want to start moving from parking to landing pages. What is the best option for commission-free, create your own marketplace site, and escrow/payment ?
what exactly are you looking for? i feel the services you mentioned each have their strengths and weaknesses.

Looking to build a marketplace with nice design, where I can tag my domains on various categories for search; platform that only charges monthly fee and no comission for sale (just payment % for Paypal/Escrow).

Design is important, I think Efty and DomaHub do a good job on it.

Just wanted other domainers opinion on sales conversions based on marketplace appealing, seriousness, and and easiness for potential buyers.

think there are too many hosted options that allow users to do alot with their names like add logos and pull in domain data..think hosted sales is better than something you have to host yourself and maintain.

It seems that UniRegistry.com has something issued recently....

Maybe UniRegistry.com do not like TYPO domains.

Man, that is a nice lander.
Where did you look when you hit the page? A lot of fixation points on that page, and that's a major killer for landing page conversions. One clear CTA will perform better in most cases. Of course this hypothesis should be tested.

NameSilo is a good option for landers.

That looks really nice, simple and to the point. I notice it says that the buyer gets the domain name after the initial down payment is made. Does this mean they own the domain name or that they just get use of it via name server changes? And what happens if they stop making payments - do you keep the monies paid up until that point and retain ownership in the domain name?

I just discovered that the Bodis for sale landing pages are blocked when you have your ad blocker installed (Ad Block Plus). Not good!

Can't use them... will have to go to someone else. Does Efty show with Ad Block Plus installed? Others?

I haven't had any issues with Efty and adblockers. It's more of a standard page imo.

if you had your own landing pages would you not have to have a re seller hosting or private server and load each one with some html/css, this could be done for around $300 (cost of server/shared hosting) a year but would cut out any fees/commission although you would have to do the sale manually.

depends on your own preference I guess regarding which method to use

We use an enterprise web filter called Forcepoint (formerly Websense) at my company. Parked domains are blocked by default for standard setups. This is pretty popular software, used by thousands of companies. There are similar alternatives used by many other companies that do the same thing.

If you're pointing your domains to well known parking platforms, there's a good chance that a decent percentage of corporate users never reach your page.

I've recently moved my modestly sized portfolio to Undeveloped and I've seen a fair increase in reported traffic over Bodis. Makes sense considering I always received block pages at work when my domains pointed at Bodis. Same goes for Sedo. I haven't tested Afternic parked pages but I bet they also will be blocked.

I suspect Undeveloped might eventually have the same issue if their pages are ever categorized as "parked domains" by these web content filter companies but for the time being they are loading and not being blocked.
Can you check if uniregistry landers are blocked by websense?

Thank You

efty? efty is not a parking solution and does not display content at all as far as I know. they are a domain store landing page and port manager.

I want to thank NameClerk, for taking time out of his work day to check Uniregistry parking pages from his companies web software, and bad news the parking pages are being blocked, giving end users the warning that they are deemed unsafe. Good chance end users are not able, to get thru, or make offers.

Anyone know of any companies not blocked by Forcepoint?

This is not good. We should all be emailing Forcepoint asking them to reconsider, at the very least, the wording "may pose a security threat to network resources or private information" because that is completely false information and it is affecting our bottom line. At least reword it to "this is a parked domain name, potentially with advertisements, continue at your own discretion or click here to go back". I mean, tell the user the truth about what they're attempting to do. Does anyone know if this is eventually picked up by google so that when someone searches on specific keywords that would normally point to our names - would Google pick this text up and display it in its results?

Cool! That is good to know. Thanks for explaining that.

I think Undeveloped has the best-looking landing page. But when it comes to informing the customer, I think NameSilo has done an exellent job with their lander that describes what a premium domain is and how exactly the buying process works.

It appears to me that one must transfer/register names at NameSilo in order to gain access to their landing page, correct? It does appear you can set up a marketplace/shop however (which is different than individual landing pages). True/false?

I think that is correct. But better let @namesilo answer to be sure.

Just launched our marketplace except we call it a "hub" after DomaHub :xf.wink:

Hey All,

Just joined and looking to park/sell/develop in that order. I tried parking with Sedo and Voodoo years ago and never had much luck. Recently I tried Bodis but still looking. Efty looks like the favorite. Is there any negatives to parking if you ultimately want to develop the domain? My long term goal is to provide quality content, build traffic, sell some domains with websites, keep some domains and be more involved as media company then parking or flipping domains. Looking to offset some of my renewal costs till that happens.

Thx! Mopho
