My revenue was less than half of normal in today's report. Haven't seen a dip like this ever. Anyone else come up short? Think it could be tied to the login / database patch stuff just recently?

Revenues for today, the 28th, are 1/3 of my daily average for the last 30 days. Something's not right in Bodisville.

Actually it could be due to bugs on our server. Should see its norm in next few days. (For those that had a dip)

:( Same here. Revenue for 9/28 spiked down, but my overall Sep rev is now higher than Aug.

I hope Matt gets through with the bugs, (Use Raid-black flag Matt! lol)

Keep up the good work Matt! :)

My revenue for Sept exceeded my revenue for August on 26th Sept. So I'm not seeing any problems.

Yabba yabba doo! What types of domain niche are those?

Something's definitely wrong. Even my worst day at any parking service was never like this

Same here! Revenue for 09/28 is only 1/4 of other days. I found that the ads on my landing page are getting less. It usually has 3 ads under on link, but only 1 ads for one link now.

"For those that had a dip" seems to indicate that either certain accounts or certain domains are being affected by these bugs, that the problems don't apply to everyone....which may explain why some people are having their absolute highest days while others are having their absolute lowest.

It makes me wonder about the payout strategy (or the adword system)...the sort of revenue sharing approach or whatever it's called....which appears to keep the payouts for most domains somewhat close, usually in the 20 -40 cent per click range. I may be entirely wrong in how I described this, but it takes too much time to find explanations in the monster Bodis thread.

My rev today was higher than it has been in the past.
Sept. 27th I surpassed my August rev.

Slightly down

One domain in particular averages 2-3$ / day. The last 3 days, zero. I haven't had a single zero day yet, except for the last three. Hopefully it will get corrected.

I am expecting a few bugs with a new service - still looking good!

September 1-28.

I usually don't pay much attention to the daily numbers but since everyone else does so... I also looked at the ND daily numbers (where most of these came from) and the numbers were much more eratic and lower value clicks.

None of these are 'high quality' names. Some have no clicks to a couple that run 50% +- click rates. The click rate for the group is 9%. Average/click is about 24.5 cents.

Better than August numbers. While I would like to see more I am happy.

Here's an example of why I think there is something wrong: These stats are for one domain for the last two weeks....vistors, clicks, revenue. You can see how it's been fairly consistent until the last few days; the dropoffs speak for themselves.

20 11 $2.64
18 8 $1.84
15 9 $1.90
26 14 $2.95
25 18 $3.57
22 17 $3.56
23 18 $4.40
20 17 $3.71
17 11 $2.61
24 15 $3.36
20 13 $2.72
15 15 $3.09
22 9 $1.80
12 6 $1.11
9 3 $0.65
5 0 $0.00

what did your stats look like at the other parking company for this particular domain name?

It is far better to analyze trends using weekly averages. Here are the raw numbers for one of my steady earners at Bodis:
Code:
Hits/Day Clicks/Day CTR Avg Daily Rev
Week 1: 35 7 21.0%	$2.15
Week 2: 44 8 16.3%	$2.37
Week 3: 41 7 16.7%	$4.24
Week 4: 53 10 19.9%	$7.34
Week 5: 58 11 20.0%	$7.83
Week 6: 78 11 14.1%	$7.73
Week 7: 78 11 14.0%	$6.62

Overall I have seen a steady increase over the period in terms of traffic and rev; however, I have leveled out over the past 2.5 weeks. The last week (Week 7) includes a self caused anomaly when I messed up the keyword for a day and fixed it the next.

Overall, I have been pleased and expect continued improvement using Bodis.

I have found that since the beginning of the month, my Friday revenues at Bodis are 30% to 50% less than other days of the week. This is not consistent with August results at Bodis, nor is it consistent with the results of other parking services prior to my moving to Bodis.

I have revenue stats, by day and provider, dating back to January 1st 2006. These stats indicate that my portfolio of names normally produces well on Fridays. Maybe its just me, but I become very suspicious when I see inconsistencies such as this.

As pointed out in other Bodis threads, the problem appears to be that clicking links sends you back to the main parking page. I'm not talking about clicking your own links, just that that's what happens when visitors click the links....

I tried clicking a couple of links on domains listed in another Bodis thread (not my own domain). Both attempts sent me back to the main parked page. I called a couple of friends and had them try one of the domains listed...they both said it kicked them back to the parking page. I gave them one of my parked names that has been a good performer until a few days ago...Same thing; they said it just kicked back to the parking page. This is more than serious. No wonder earnings are down for some accounts and domains.

that explains a inquire question i got on a test name i have, where there are 5 links to take this test online, and the inquiry was how do i take the test online, it must have sent him back to main page

Same thing i mentioned on the other thread. this is a issue. I was looking at domains someone had and i saw something about colleges that interested me , I clicked on the add and it took me back to the main page. And I was on my father in laws PC at his house and I had never logged into Bodis there so it couldnt have reconized my IP.

Yup. The glitch with being sent back to the main page when clicking a link would certainly explain why visitors aren't generating revenue. I hope it gets fixed and it sure explains a lot.
