Hi,

I wouldn't throw it in the ring, before such an app is not fully developed and open to the public,
but as so many bluesky .com domains are already taken,

I thought it might be a good time to have a Bluesky domain thread.

BlueSky, is the new app invented by Jack Dorsey and friends, to give competition to the web2 realtime chat & news apps,
especially twitter.

You can already register under bsky.app, and maybe get an invitation the next couple of weeks to try it out.

In the space of IT-geeks & developers, BlueSky is already trending...

I was not sure, that many bluesky domains were already taken... until I made a short check-up.

Acquired
web5bluesky.com
web3bluesky.com
and
XRbluesky.com

What are your domains?!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
You can use your domain name, to register it as handle in the blue sky app.

For ex. you own myname.com.

Them you can get the handle 'myname.com'.

This is a huge step for
a) verification (at least to some degree)
b) let people see your website name from the beginning.

I think this has some commercial potential here...

Yep.

This is how bluesky looks like...

I thought about, whether 'bluesky' could be a trademark, or not,
whether others may use the name in their domain, or not...

and honestly / blue / sky is such an everyday word,
and there are already SO many sites running using this word
(and the bluesky app does not even posses a 'bluesky .' domain)
AND it is a decentralized platform,

that I don't think that there is anything trademark worthable talking here...

I am quite confident that you can use the name bluesky in your domain,
as long as you do not impersonate (copy) the app, etc.
- just obvious things.
