Fueling todays market upswing.

"Google owner of the most popular Internet search engine, said third-quarter profit climbed 26 percent as more customers used Web search ads to spur sales in a slowing economy.... Advertisers are shifting budgets away from TV and print media toward ads that run alongside search listings, targeting online shoppers."

A lot of people are going to see that. Internet presence continues to be important, and is getting prioritized by many companies. Any bright spot in the economy is going to be somewhat of a magnet, as the implication is a that internet presence is a cost effective alternative to radio and television.

The article also states that google's market share of online searches is at 63%. This indicates, that other search engines are probably significant enough to being paid attention to for optimization and promotional purposes.

While the world markets are continuing their general trend, many companies are making difficult choices. Typically advertising expenditure is considered increasingly vital as companies scramble to remain competitive. Every edge helps, and a bit of education can go a long ways.

While not specifically about domain sales, I think that there is sufficient relevance to the domain industry as a whole, to be noteworthy.
