I bought my domain from a big Korean domain business in 2007 for $400. I thought that the price was good since I had anticipated a future foreclosure crisis, however, I never thought that it would have resulted in the current low housing prices nationwide.
I was actually going to drive to Sacramento yesterday to look at a house for $31,000. The mortgage would be cheaper than what I have paid for monthly storage in the past. I was going to buy the house for storage, to use as a rest stop for my trips to Tahoe, and as an investment. I hesitated to buy yesterday because the future doesn't look too great for people who are buying foreclosures right now. I just read that foreclosures will peak at the end of 2010. Imagine the deals by then. I think I will wait to buy.
"...Friday nite, let's see...buy a pizza or buy a house..." I'd laugh at this but you can buy a house in Detroit right now for $1,200. What's that, about a $10 a month mortgage?
