Beware of DomainMarket.com : $ 1,700 lost

Hi,

Two weeks ago, I bought a domain name at domainmarket.com for $ 1,700. I sent the money throught Paypal (verified buyer). Everything was fine at this time.

After payment, DomainMarket.com changed the rules and refused to transfer the domain name. They claim they need to verify the card holder.

I asked for a refund but they also refused. It seems they want to keep the domain name AND the money !

Paypal dispute has been opened.

Did they mention the time frame on the verify process?
I doubt they would risk the rep of their portfolio to steal your 1.7k.

Call them again and see what is going on.

Just received email from paypal :

This claim has been decided in your favor and you'll receive a refund.
Please allow up to 7 days for the refund to appear in your account. Once the refund is complete, the case will be closed
