You will need to consider many criteria before you come to a conclusion as to what a good host is:

1) Hosts hardware
2) Uptime
3) service --- how soon are the tickets answered. --- smaller hosts are sometimes more faster in getting back to all your questions
4) price -- can you upgrade or downgrade based on your needs?

--- there are many others -- but i think you get the idea.

You will find out the availability of their systems administrators and send them a support ticket and see how fast they respond. I think ServerPoint.com is the company which could be considered as "the best" from my standpoint. They provide any kind of hosting with quality and affordable prices. They have been in business for already ten years, what confirms their stability... I think they would always be worth of trust..

Dreamhost have many useful tools, plenty of bandwidth & space. They do have some downtime but at least you will know what's going on from their dreamhoststatus.com site.

I have a very good experience for multidomain ("reseller") hosting with Myriad: http://www.myriadnetwork.com/

I have had several of my domains with them for the past two years - no downtime, extremely fast support when needed. And I explored the forums before choosing them: no negative review from any balanced user, insofar I have been able to see.

I have two domains with InMotion Hosting for more than four years:

Very good experience too, but rather for individual domains, not for multidomain hosting.

Anyway, those are two reliable hosting services, in my experience. And not too large, so they remain personal.

haha, I use plusbrain.com, since it is so cheap and at 10 USD per year you get 500 mb space with 5 giga per month

there is a problem tho, the owner of the site does not seems to care if he get more customer or not, in fact I dont think he accepts more people inside haha, and if you email him, he answers you late.

if only he can answer faster.....but other than that I have been using it for somewhile and it has not failed me yet:P
