What's the best way to sell a domain via paypal and protect yourself from the dispute/theft that has gone on in the past...

Don't deal with unverified accounts. I got screwed once as a buyer and of course money lost no domain.

I'm not sure about ebay auctions and paypal there is some protection maybe you should check that out.

dont use paypal PLEASE i beg you, theres always a way for the scammers to get around what ever you do!!

if its not for a lot of cash take the gamble, personally i wouldnt sell domains using paypal at all, there intangable goods, and thats not good for you,

no matter how much the guy sweet talks you, dont do it, unless he is really really respected out there (google him)

I've used paypal for years selling domain and never had a problem. The problem arises when you don't know who you're dealing with and or a shady character.

This is just my opinion, but,

If your the seller, always ask for a payment via masspay. Masspay payments cannot be charged back as they have to be from the buyers paypal reserve. That is one way to make sure the buyer cannot scam you via the chargeback route.
