Best way to market?

I own an emo/indie/punk clothing company, and right now im only getting traffic from my area and what not, how would you suggest I advertise it?

My site is www.heartcrush.com.. and I need techniques and ideas on how to properly convey my products and advertise...

any ideas?

Let me preference this by saying, I really dig your website, nice design, nice name, that all fits the crowd very well.

Now, you have 3 original shirt designs on the website (not including the HC logo branded ones). If it were me I would spend much more time expanding the HC line of offerings before even thinking of attempting to market.

The way I look at it is if you start marketing now (with the limited offerings) any traffic you would produce from the marketing would see 3 unique items. If I were your target audience why would I ever return? I'd rather go to a site that had a much broader offering. I'm never going to bookmark or return to a website that only has a couple of options, you have one attempt to make an impression on a potential customer, wouldn't you rather give them a robust selection as to appeal to a broader consumer base?

I'm not attempting to be rude, only helpful. Put the marketing ideas on the back burner for now, focus on the products. Once you have the products to offer then look to market.

I'll give you a link in my sig for a while if you want it (not that I'm some mega poster or anything) just for the added exposure. Let me know if you want it.

Here are my suggestions:

1. Great content - be it information, service, products... providing relevance and usefulness gives you higher chances of making a visitor into a customer
2. Forum and blog posting on relevant niche - you participate constructively and learn new things while promoting your site via signature.
3. Pay-Per-Click - done properly, best at getting target traffic faster on a direct marketing approach to your potential clients. You should also try out other PPC providers for more reach on your campaign and to test what PPC platforms works best for you.
4. Targeted Link backs - another premium way of getting the right traffic.
5. Article marketing - useful and relevant articles to your niche is a nice way of link baiting.
6. Classified Ads Posting

Research keywords, create content for a page targeting to those keywords, make some relevant backlinks for those pages. You will get more traffic for sure

Your content matters alot targeting your keywords. You can also:

Add an RSS subscribe button/link in a high profile spot on your site
Add a mailing list subscribe form in a high profile spot on your site
Add a bookmark this site link in a high profile spot on your site
Use a Tell A Friend Script on your site so people can email their friend about an article on your website.
