Best way to get advertisers?

Please don't take this as advertising, I am just trying to get ideas/suggestions on how to improve my advertising techniques.

If you don't know, I run CouponCache.com I understand my stats aren't amazing right now, but I think the 60+ uniques it's pulling in a day aren't too shabby.

Within the two weeks or so the new site has been open, we've had about 1,200 unique visitors so far.

I am selling ad spots for as little as $5/mo but people don't seem to be interested. I think the deal is great and for $5/mo you can't go wrong. Here are the ad prices if you are interested. http://couponcache.com/advertising.php

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to promote my site a bit more to get these advertisers interested?

are you getting many from search engines?
i would reccomend some on/offsite SEO
exchanging links with some other domain/hosting resource sites should help in traffic as well as search engines placement... so more traffic as well

have you submitted a press release for your site?
that should get you some good publicity too, if its well written and doesnt sound like an ad other sites will pick it up as news

I think you should increase the amount of visitors and PR before looking for advertising. Not many people want to throw money on a site that is only 2 weeks old.

You need more content. You can't build a site and expect advertisers to just show up at your doorstep. There are thousands of review sites that spend a couple hours on their website, then expect to make a lot of cash. Thing is, none of them do unless they do something unique. And theres nothing unique about your site other then the design.

Ask yourself this, why would someone purchase advertising off you instead of the other guy?

Do some more SEO work, people are interested in sites that are connected and have a PR so linkpop is inportant as well. Get your site out there a bit more and people will become alot more interested in advertising there.
