Best parking tips for .in domains?

I've got over 150 .in domains, around 100 LLL.in's and some one-word dictionary domains in the mix too. Few are decent generics.

I've had most of them parked at sedo for over a year but they get no more than 5-10 visitors at the most. Majority of the LLL.in's don't get any traffic at all. I only get clicks on one particular .in and its not one where I expected any at all (domains4u).

So my questions are...

  • Where do you park your .in domains?
  • Do you get traffic / clicks?
  • If you've tried more than one parking company, which would you recommend?
  • Do you have any tips on optimizing .in domains?

I've tried changing categories and keywords for LLL.in domains - but not sure if its doing any good. I know LLL.in's are more for future investment rather than for generating revenue from parking... but I'm curious as to how some people are getting traffic/revenue from their LLL.in's.

If I had, lets say "kac.in" how would I work out what keyword would be best for it? What category should I put it under?

Look forward to hearing your views.

I have tried SEDO, PARKED, and NameDrive. I have around 200+ non .in domains and found that I have a higher CTR with NameDrive.

I've tried Sedo and namedrive. Sedo was so far the best in terms of visitors and clicks. But nothing that you can compare with .coms... maximum is around 150 uniques per month and 5-7 clicks.

I strongly suggest developing the sites. I get on an average 500+ uniques for my developed site financeminister.in

i own several .co.ins, and the LLLs i park @ sedo, and i park the regular, keyword ones at parked. I park the LLL.co.ins at sedo because i can use the "search query" to figure out how to optimize the name(figure out what people are looking for). A few of my regular keyword .co.ins get good CTR at parked, but parked is paying 0.1 and 0.2c/click for indian traffic, which sedo can beat (with 0.2 and 0.3c/click). My LLL.co.ins get a CTR of 12%, 18% at sedo ,but they do 6%, 8% at parked, so i generally prefer sedo in the meantime(plus the fact that potential buyers see the traffic stats when they search sedo). .IN and .CO.INs right now are not the TLD with quality in their parking- its a quantity game. YOu're looking at many 0.2-0.6 RPC, but you need to work at getting decent uniques/month + good CTR. Namedrive and SEdo use google feeds, and Parked(which uses the yahoo feed) all are dishing out similtary RPCs for .in +.co.ins, so its more or less an even playing field in that regard.

Do you use SedoPro or regular regular sedo? I can't seem to locate the "search query" thing you mentioned?

My LLLL .ins get very few visitors - even though some of them are meaningful e.g. aham, chit - the ones that do get a few visitors are generics such as designerbags.in (on auction at the moment here at NP) - it seems that .in does better with development, but that takes time - the only other alternative seems to be to hang on to them and hope for big sales in the future, which is what happened with .coms i.e. people having to constantly pay the renewal fees while waiting for sales.
I use Parked, ND and Bodis at the moment but shall be applying to DomainSponsor to see if I have any more success with them ( I will keep you posted)

Yeah holding the good generics and LLL.in's are best advised but can be hard to maintain renewal fees for huge portfolios. Which is why I was hoping maybe some of the parked ones can generate their own renewal fees or a portion of it.

Development is always better than parking and with the best .in's I have I will be developing them one by one... so far 3 developed and those three are already making more than regfee.

Just don't have enough time to develop more than 2-3 a month though. Will be looking into something shortly. Thanks for all your input.
