Best parking service?

What is the best parking service to use currently? I build sites in my spare time, but I have a lot of domains to park and most of the parking services I have tried don't pay jack. I get traffic and clicks, but .02 -.05 cents a click (sedo) is pathetic.

My goals are to get my domains indexed in the S.E. for when I develop a real site there, and to generate at least the cost of registration in the mean time.

Beautiful job, netmeg.

I have found "customizing" has really helped with the click rates. Just need more traffic...........

How do you "wrap" your text around the pictures?

Thanks,

Sags

Parked.com is nice for the most part, if they accept all of your domains. I've never actually tried parking any type of adult or typo domain with them so I wouldn't know what they're like with those.
Namedrive will pretty much take any domain, and they're quick and easy to set up.

Nice looking page netmeg!

Nice looking page netmeg!

Thanks! I got 49 more just like 'em - one for each state, alternating between three color schemes I created.

How do you "wrap" your text around the pictures?

You need to set the alignment of the picture, and then the vertical and/or horizontal offset.

When you're in the little Custom Content editor, after you've inserted the url for your picture, you right click on the picture - and select 'image properties' and a little properties box will pop-up. First you set the alignment to Left or Right (not Default!) depending on where you want it to be. That cause the text to seem to 'wrap' around it. Then you set the Horizontal Space field to 10 pixels, and, if you need it, set the Vertical Space field to 5 or 10 pixels - whatever you need to do to keep the text from running smack up against the picture.

For whatever reasons, I have a hard time getting this to work properly in Firefox (the popup box is a fixed size that's too small and can't be adjusted) so you might want to make sure you're in IE when you're trying this. Haven't tried it in Safari yet.

I need to get a Horizontal and Vertical space of 7-10 pixels for the text, that I want to write at the bottom of some of my Parked domains. At this point I'm not inserting any pictures, just text! Almost 2 months ago I mentioned this in a thread but I keep getting the following problem:

Here is what I do:

1 Disabled Firewall
2. On IE 7 I open Parked.com
3. On IE 7 I click to show โ€œPopups okayโ€
4. On Parked I click on domain BlaBla.com and open โ€œCustom Contentโ€ in order to insert or write text.
5. I right click and have 4 options: โ€œCutโ€, โ€œCopyโ€, โ€œPasteโ€ and โ€œInserts a new tableโ€
6. I click on โ€œInserts a new tableโ€
7. A โ€œWindows Internet Explorerโ€ window comes up saying:

โ€œSorry, but we have noticed that your pop-up blocker has disabled a window that provides application functionality. You will need to disable popup blocking on this site in order to fully utilize this tool.โ€

How on earth do I get this right? I really have no clue as to what to do.
Would some kind soul tell me what Iโ€™m doing wrong or what Iโ€™m not doing right

GIL :)

You might have more than one pop-up blocker. Do you have Google Toolbar or Yahoo Toolbar or any others?

I have Google ToolBar. Could that be the problem? Actually the pop-up blocker that I disabled appears to be on Google ToolBar.

OK I finally found the culprit. It was the Google ToolBar!

Thanks a million Netmeg. I Feel like sending a few fireworks into the air right now, but I'll wait for New Years Eve.

BTW Netmeg, I know that you have a liking for Fireworks sites. so sometime in your life you should take a week or two vacation, come to Madeira Island over the New Year period and witness the most spectacular Fireworks display in the world! It's sheer magic!

Yes, I like to blow things up. Thank you for the invitation - it'd have to go some to beat the three-barge combined US/Canadian fireworks on the Detroit River every June, but I'm all about pyromania.. er, pyrotechnics, so I will keep that in mind...

Loot it up on google. It is really an impressive display, believe me. They have something like 45-50 fireworks locations on land and 5-6 on barges in the sea, in the city of Funchal which is a perfect amphitheatre for these kind of events.

In 2007 it was rated by Guiness Book of Records as the best Fireworks display in the world. It took them quite a while to find that out. We knew it all along!

I'll send you some pics if your'e interested.

Back on topic, I would suggest trying Fabulous.com if you have a high quality portfolio. The support is probably the best in the industry, and they pay extremely well. Google does seem to play favorites with parking vendors, and Fabulous is one of the favorites. They also have fairly low registrar prices too. Most of my portfolio is with Fabulous, with occasional special cases at Dynadot, Moniker, and even godaddy (ugh) when I have problems connecting to better registrars. Overall I am quite happy with Fab for both registrar and parking services.

Yep. Detroit fire works rock. Go every year.

Try parked.com. I am happy.

Experimentation, changing things, testing new things out is the only way to learn things and of course read namepros and peoples thoughts. Can be a bit overwhelming. Lol.

Good luck.

I like Parked.com...they have great customer service and excellent tools for your domains.

Another one i would recommend having a look at is a new service evolanding.com.
They build out you site to look like a full blown web page. Certainly worth a look if you are after something more than a page that looks like it is parked.Their email support has also been outstanding.
