Best overall place to buy domains now that GoDaddy Coupons are dead?

I personally like GoDaddy, politics aside. Their support has helped me on multiple occasions and I have over 100 domains with them. However, money talks, and they only have DDC for renewals, and my account can not use any codes for new registrations (not that they're giving enough out anymore). I don't want to pay $8.37 to register a domain.

What's a reputable registrar which has good registration discount codes (for .com/net/org) as well as better/matching prices for renewals, and good customer support over the phone?

How much are you hoping to save? Because domain names don't just grow on trees. They don't just spring up from the ground.

It takes effort to make a domain name. And unregulated labor (the type of which is typically used to manufacture products sold by Walmart) isn't technically free--you still have to bribe some government officials.

If you ask me, $8.37 is a very reasonable price to pay GoDaddy, especially considering how much GoDaddy pays its employees to manufacture domain names.

Currently BlueHost.com has specials for $5.99 (I think they are associated with FastDomains)

Hostgator also has $5.99 .com names. I don't know if there is a limit but it might be worth trying.

Host gator is for 1 .com when signing up for new account but still a good deal!
