the best after .com, is a longer word or phrase in .com, that is related to the shorter version.


but it depends on your interest in the domain...

buying an alternative extension because com is taken with plans to develop, is different than buying with plans to resell.

Exception would be the ccTLD from your own country (not .US), even there go slow.
