Good day to everyone.

While browsing the internet, I came across this forum and I truly hope I will find someone here who can help me with their advice.

First, let me say that I am completely new to domain trading.
I saw GoDaddy auctions somewhere and noticed that certain domains are being sold for a few hundred or even thousands of euros, so I thought I'd give it a try too.

A few days ago, I bought several domains on GoDaddy.
Yesterday, I paid 4.6 euros for an annual auction membership.
After that, I was hoping I could immediately list my domain for a seven-day auction.
However, I couldn't find an option anywhere to list my domain for
auction.
I can view current auctions, which leads me to believe it is possible to sell on GoDaddy auctions because I see others posting them. I just don't know how to do it.

I contacted GoDaddy support via chat several times, but they only send me links where I can set a fixed price, not an auction. (They also mentioned some site called Afternic, that I need to create a profile there, but again, it all boils down to setting a fixed sale price, not an auction).
After some time, I asked them to simply answer my question: "Can I even list my domain for auction, where I can set the auction duration, and where potential buyers can bid on my domain?"
They didn't answer but gave me an email address to send my question to.
I did that, but I haven't received a response.

I am asking for help from someone who has understanding and patience (who understands that I know absolutely nothing about this process) to explain to me in detail how to list my domain for auction.
So far, what I've done is:
  • I logged into GoDaddy using my Google account
  • I bought domains
  • I paid for auction membership. That’s all. From there, I don't know what to do or how to proceed.
I browsed your forum and saw that this is an oasis of knowledge, which is why I believe I'm in the right place.

I apologize if my question seems silly or ridiculous to anyone, but I hope you will remember that you were once beginners at this, just as I am now :)

Thank you!

Thank you very much for your response sir.

Could you give me some advice on what is the best thing to do with my domains so I can sell them?

Are there any other places where I can list them for auction?

Any advice would help me a lot.

I didn't quite understand you... (as i mentioned i m new to domaining :) )
So, where do you and other users of this forum sell your domains?

He's saying that domains available to purchase are available to purchase because no one thought those available domains had enough value/demand to purchase. Basically the catch22 of this whole domain investing concept.

At any rate, Sedo and Namecheap both offer domain auctions.

The Godaddy article mentions "In order to better serve sellers" lol

Because we know that's GD's ultimate goal.... serving sellers. /s
