Beginner guide 2 options? ie. Godaddy or Sedo? Best strategies?

Started to look into GoDaddy and Sedo options, but soooo many questions -- is there a clear guide somewhere that will make the process clear? Or is a matter of fuddling through and learning as you go? ie. Godaddy has an auction AND premium auction [that takes 30%!], and then there's Sedo auctions but you can't just list a domain for auction.

This is completely new to me, and thanks for all the info so far. Very helpful info when I previously asked where to sell my domain on which I'd received an offer.

Now I'm trying to figure out the best way to sell :-/

I don't think GoDaddy is a good domain registrar nor is Sedo good for parking! :)

They both have pretty good For Sale options. But if you've already rcvd an offer on a domain (from somebody you don't know) you can do without either of these options and sell the domain via Escrow.com (or eCop.com, but I haven't used them).

Yes, could do that -- but the offer was out of the blue so don't have any idea of whether it's a good offer. I figure an auction would allow me to get what the domain name is really worth. Or am I wrong?
