hi everyone
i got offer from registerfly for free .be domains
is it worth registering them if the plan is to make a website and then keep it for coming years ?
i think they will offer this year for free and then will charge around $ 20 each year and this will become a costly affair.

and if it seems fine, can anyone tell about some website providing it for lower prices.

What is view of others on the issue ??

thanks
dhaliwal

Search the forums. This has been said to many times.

You can get them free nearly everywhere now, until the end of Jan next year

Hi,
.be are offered for free till there promotionla period. You can get them for free till jan. But you have to pay to renew them next year which may cost u anything between $20 or more. but u can register only 10 domain per account.. But unfortunately most good domains are taken. its no worth..

yes, so $ 20 for renewal isnt good at all.
not an intresting offer then

Well if you grab a really nice domain near the end of the promotion, you can try to sell it and then the renewal fee will fall upon the other guy :)

.BEs are offered 'til Jan, then they are paid. I think ya need to renew 'em tho.

Registerfly is not the place to get your .be's trust me. I have several there and they are pretty much useless. Registerfly is having problems with .be's, is almost impossible to change DNS info on them. So far i've manged to get one changed after days of submitting trouble tickets and finally support changed nameservers on one so I could use it. Something about their automated system not being setup for .be's.

I suggest using www.eurodns.com - They are free until 31st January and if you hover your mouse over the ? next to the Belgium flag it now says that you are allowed a maximum of 20 free .be ( they used to say 10 I think)

It is also easy to change the DNS and they have some sort of partner aggreement with sedo which "may" help if you need to sell one ?? possibly.

If you intend to park them straight away, as far as I remember you can set the DNS during the ordering process.

Reg for free, park, earn some $$, maybe sell some or develop, renew traffic names, drop the rest :hehe:

if it doesnt work you can always drop them. They cant require your for that. Im just registering a few and then developing some and see if i can get some small amount of money and if they slowly progress hey $20 aint that much.
