What does that mean?
Let me explain:
Some "brandable domains" are sold with requirements like "your brandbucket account should be in good standing", or "Buyer should comply with all BB demands for domain transfer."
The latter can be seen here:

What if I'm not interested in using BrandBucket? What if I'm just trying to get a brandable domain and developing a website on it?
if I simply purchase a BB-accepted or BB-published domain from a NamePros member (for like $10 for example), can't I simply use it to develop a website? Should I do something with BrandBucket to get it "de-listed" or should I have a BrandBucket account to be able to transfer the domain name into my regular Name.com account?
Since this thread is #1 on google for "bb account in good standing" searches, I wanted to add information 9 months after I opened this thread. I've learned a lot of new information since then, which wasn't easy to find otherwise.
"BB Account in good standing" is a requirement, because BrandBucket has a point system where it reduces your account score from A to B if you withdraw about 5-8% of your domains from auctions. People with account score "B" aren't considered in good standing, so they lose lots of abilities on the BrandBucket website, such as pushing domains to other good standing accounts, or receiving domains.
Domain sellers do not sell you their domains if they can't push their auctions to your good standing account. Because, if you don't want to use BrandBucket and just purchase the domain and develop a website on it (or sell it somewhere else), either the seller needs to remove the domain from their BB account (which is bad for them) or you should remove it from your own BB account after transfer, which blocks your ability to remove other domains in the future.
And you can't simply say "I will open a BrandBucket account, receive the domain, then close the account. I don't care if my account goes down to a score of B." It doesn't work that way. When you open a new account, you aren't automatically in good standing. You need to start selling some domains, which needs to be paid for and approved, and spend some time until your account gets a score of A. So, you'll need to become a merchant and pay money to get your domains listed, only after that you can receive a domain from someone else.
TL;DR: No one will be willing to risk losing their good standing account by removing a domain from auction and sell it to you on a different channel. Also you can't just register a new good standing account to receive domains. You need to spend money and time to earn a good standing account. This is why BrandBucket-published domains are sold only to other BrandBucket sellers.
