Barca are coming to town!

yup, the famous Barcelona FC are coming to play my hometown team Dundee United for a pre-season game on the 26th July!

the gulf in class between the two teams is unbelievable, but its not always been like that! they're coming to play United to mark the 20th Anniversary of United beating barcelona 2-1 at the Nou Camp in the UEFA Cup quarter finals and 1-0 at home. united have played 4 and won 4 against the spanish giants - have a wee nosey at these videos if you cant actually believe it :hehe:

just got back from the game and we only lost 1-0 from a last minute penalty from Thierry Henry...but great to see a team such as Barca play United :hehe: Ronaldinho was immense!

Just read news. I dunt know why with dozen of stars but Barca could score only 1 goal from penalty. I have no idea who Dundee is :D

Tell me if Szamotulski (Polish goalkeeper) played well? We got strong players on this position in natonal team (Dudek- Real Madrid, Boruc - Celtic, Kuszczak - ManU, Fabianski - Arsenal)

they scored 1 because its different in this game than la liga or official games. this is just a friendly match, also, its the first time for some of the new players, such as henry, abidal, yahya playing with the team.

Messi, marquez, and gabriel milito weren't there as well.

the first half ronaldinho and etoo played, second half, the coach gave the chance for the new players, dos santos and others....

He seems like a great signing for United...hope he stays for longer as he only signed a 6 month contract, as our No. 1 is out for six months i think.

It said in the paper Barcelona are coming back next year to play United again because they enjoyed it so much and they got such a good reception :hehe:
hope this happens as Thursdays game was the best ive ever seen!
