Does anyone know anything about BackOrderZone.com? I can't find much out about them from their website or whois. Who is behind this website?

Has anyone tried them? Can they compete against NameJet/SnapNames/Reberry? How much are their backorders?

I'm reluctant to give them my credit card info just when signing up. I think they could at least register me first so I could try them out. Then if I try to backorder something with blank credit card info, they send me there to complete it.

Just found out about backorderzone the hard way. They beat NJ and Snap on a certain domain I wanted. Seems interesting that there were more backorders for the domain at backorderzone than NJ.

just be careful when bidding on them because by default you are bidding on top of a now "hidden" $49 starting backorder

Yes I noticed that. Your backorder credit is deducted if you win and you also pay your bid amount.

Yes, they keep using throwaway domain names and switch hosting at a very quick pace to evade blocking and bad reputation.

bellnames is one of the registrars owned by the scammers (they own a dozen).
I have brought the matter to Icann, feel free to do the same.
These people must sink like registerfly 8-X

Funny you say that Kate, they caught Registerfly.com today.

Long time since I've posted in here but found this thread on a search.

After a little more research what I've found is pointing to 'Kennen Palm' and in April 2012 ICANN sent notice of breach.

Going to be digging into this a bit further though because of an interest in a domain they recently snatched up. ;)

Following up

OK. I've been doing a bit of research and also have an investigator doing a bit of research as well. Seems most of it points to this: http://www.prbuzz.com/technology/50711-domain-match-makers.html

What's interesting about this is that the first Address is a UPS store and the second address is a small house in California.

Notice the similarities:

And based on various filings it's leading me to http://www.dataintelligencellc.com/ which is a Tennessee Limited Liability Company operating out of New Jersey.

It appears they have a number of domain names as well. Something about all this does smell a bit fishy and it appears they are trying to hide from something or behind something.

How this company is grabbing highly desired back-order domains that larger more reputable companies cannot is what's bothering me.

Another interesting tid bit of information is that this company formed shortly after Registerfly was shut down.

Name: DATA INTELLIGENCE GROUP, LLC
Status: Active Initial Filing Date: 09/12/2007
Formed in: TENNESSEE Delayed Effective Date:
Fiscal Year Close: December AR Due Date: 04/01/2013
Term of Duration: Perpetual Inactive Date:
Principal Office: 9045 CAROTHERS PKWY
STE 200
FRANKLIN, TN 37067-1799 USA
Mailing Address: PO BOX 682063
FRANKLIN, TN 37068-2063 USA

The address of the filing is the address of Community First Bank & Trust.

Hmmm.... Definitely going to dig into this a bit more because something isn't right. There's already been a breach filed by ICANN, I wonder if they've done anything outside of a formal letter which in essence does nothing.

UPDATE:
OK, the Registerfly.com domain name did drop and was scraped up by DomainScout.com or NameScout.com which is 1 MORE NAME LLC which leads back to Kennen Palm but which also leads to BellNames and interestingly enough to http://www.momentous.ca/ which owns Pool.com.

Namejet relied upon Enom to catch this domain and apparently DomainScout grabbed it a millisecond prior to Enom so they got the domain.

Seems there's quite a few different brands and websites all tied to certain individuals which all tie together under different and multiple entities all registered via efile.

Thanks for this. I think many of the names are bogus. But it is apparent that the people behind this scheme are of Ukrainian/Armenian origin (see previous page).

Note that DomainScout.com is not DomainScout.ca. But it looks like DomainScout.ca is no longer part of Pool/Momentous.
It could be that they purchased an existing registrar, just like they sold one to Epik.
There is also the case of Domainator.ca.
I need to dig more.

I have another address

intrust/backorderzone use Colorado for incorporation purposes most of the time, and they like to set up multiple corporations.

Intersolved is also a DNF member.
Here is what 'Miranda Brown' has to say:
My name is Miranda and I just started working for a domainer who has basically given me full control over his portfolio to sell. I have about 34,000 domains which are all currently collecting traffic, but I need to sell some to earn Christmas money! I dont even know where to begin with this. What should I do with all this inventory? When I first joined him I posted everything in a blog on here.... but now I am stuck. HELP!

A blog:

---------- Post added at 08:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:31 PM ----------

I worked for a company that sent out thousands of emails a day..... very important to remember, whether you send one or 1,000 "spam" emails, make sure you do not send them from your primary email! Depending on the host company, if you get just a couple of people reporting you as spam, it can cause your emails to not land correctly, even if you are replying to emails sent to you!
Mind you, it's 100% legit and legal business :|

http://www.DNF/f557/re-communicating-domain-name-owners-thread-497318.html#post2134562

So I believe she/it is more or less related to the intrust/backorderzone gang. Could be a naive person trapped as a mule for the purpose of domain laundering. But her spamming techniques are much less sophisticated

I am not convinced that the Ken Palm animal is a person that actually exists, because they also make up bogus names. But I have reason to believe that Poghosian Argam is a real person and mastermind.

You know what, 'they' must be reading us anyway. Occasionally they step in to croak a comment as if they had any reputation:
http://acro.net/blog/domains/backorderzone-beat-snapnames-and-pool/

Always remember we're not dealing with pesky spammers here, but dedicated cybercriminals.

Well, I don't know about all the claims above... but I can say.... We have nothing to do with Intrust Domains. We are a company who focuses on building traffic portfolios and collecting PR domains. That is pretty much all we do, though we are open to selling any of our domains if people want them. We do not spam, I don't email anyone more than once about a domain, if even once. I find it tedious. We own all of the domains we offer for sale, and if someone buys, I transfer about 95% of the domains myself, so I know it gets there quickly.

"Miranda",

Do you realize what you've just written contradicts your own posts at DNF.

You don't spam ? But you did, also in a personal capacity.

You own all of the domains you offer for sale ?
This is not what you stated at DNF:
My name is Miranda and I just started working for a domainer who has basically given me full control over his portfolio to sell. I have about 34,000 domains
What kind of domainer has 34,000 domains ? It's not your average type.

By the way, which of the 8 Intersolved companies above do you represent, assuming there are not all the same entity ?

You are linking to an email from Josh, who hasn't been employed here in months. When he was employed here he was only here for a couple months. I work at Intersolved, LLC and Intersolved, LLC owns 34000 domains. I dont understand the questions. I have not spammed you, and I am only listing domains for sale in the portfolio my company owns. I am sure there are many domainers who own more domains then we do.

So whats the verdict? Is this company legit or not?

I use it sometimes but don't bid high.
And of course I transfer out the domains ASAP.

I have recently back-ordered a domain at Backorderzone.com and they did beat Namejet, Snapnames, Pool, Name, Hexonet and some others. I know this because I did backorder this domain too at all these other drop catchers. Of the +/- ten times I back-ordered a domain at Backorderzone.com, one was a success, so in my case it has a success rate of about 10% which is pretty good I think. Everything, bidding, payment and delivery went smoothly. Transfer-out is still pending, but I guess that won't be a problem too.

Final price = bidding price + $49 (1 credit).
