Backorder a .com domain registered with a .jp registrar?!

Anyone here have any experience with backordering a domain that is registrered with a .jp registrar? Who has the biggest chances of snatching the name when it expires?

that's a tricky one. I can suggest emailing support at jp-domains.com [email protected] and ask if they can assist. Unless the name is something special eg tokyo.jp you may find that with the .jp prices being relatively high the name you want will just drop anyway with no auction pick-up.

thanks for the reply fw, the thing is however that the domain in question is a .com domain - registered through a japanse registrar. I just want to make sure that it'll land in my hands when it expires, so I want to backorder it with as many registrars as possible
