Hello All,
Yes, we all know that .com is "King" - although other extentions are becoming more popular (obviously in the majority of cases, it's because the .com of a particular name has been taken).
However, I believe that the .tv extention is becoming more popular (regardless of reg. price) simply because the medim of television is always changing with improving technology - and being infinite, there will be more and more .tv extentions being regd., now that good, practical .coms still available are becoming as rare as hen's teeth.
The one major extention I dont hear much about here on site is .jp
And why not?
This is a country with a population of app. 128 million with arguably the most advanced technology in the world.I dont have any figures regarding their exports, but who is not aware of their giant corporations?
There seems to be no "residency restrictions" when registering a .jp - as there are with a .us registration. And the cost of registering is not
terribly high.
I wonder why nobody has championed the .jp cause, in the domain name business.
I have one .jp extention name (although I also have the .com) and was wondering how many fellow namepros have any.
I would like to hear your views - and if anyone has sold a .jp - especially to an end user.
Thankyou to any replies.
