Hi!
I am new here, so I wanted to check what is the average sales price for a domain.
Is it really 100 sales for $10 not making even for the register price and then a sale of $1000 to make profit?
Because IMHO chances of getting the $1000 domain are pretty slim...
Thanks for answers!

Its going to depend on who you talk to. My average sales price on a domain name is closer to $1,000. However, I do more business thru end-users then I do resellers. I also patiently hold my domain names waiting for right buyers when others attempt immediate flips.

BTW - Welcome to Namepros.

Don't listen to these two, they really don't know anything.

Its $39.95

Plus VAT of course.

You guys are quoting too high prices. The real average sale price is only $1.42

Hi

I agree to that. Selling domains to resellers greatly reduces the price as far as I can see.
The real average sale price is only $1.42
Perhaps if selling domains with no real value just trying to get back the registering costs.

Ok, so far it is $40, $1000 and $1 :D
Prices vary greatly, so more opinions are required, if you are willing to share.

Thanks!

Except for Spade, those guys are pulling your leg.

You can pay registration fee for a domain and sell it for $1000, but you really have to know which domain to buy - out of hundreds of thousands. That takes study. Years of it really, but months before you should spend anything but pocket change. Go very slow spending your money - most registrations by people new to this are not worth the money they spent.

This forum will teach you most of it, go back over the posts in this section and the other sections that interest you. There are as many ways to play this game as there are people in it --- find what you like.

I will try to study more before buying, and hopefully get the big fish someday!

Thanks!
