What do you think about autosurf solution, is it effective?

It's not effective at all, and you can't have autosuf sites hitting your sites, if you use adsense or any other ad publisher, the traffic is null from autosurf , Nothing gained, and alot of time lost using autosurf sites imo.

Think about it this way.

With autosurfs, you're mindlessly clicking or leaving the computer on, loading the other websites on the network. Do you actually pay attention to the websites rotating in your browser, let alone click on their ads, or buy their products? Do you return to those websites?

What you get in exchange is that your site is shown to other users on the network in the same way. Sure, it'll look good on your statistics, but you'll get very little ad or sale conversion, or repeat visitors from the traffic.

I concur, don't waste your time on autosurfs. :imho:

Yep, autosurfing is totally a waste of time. The traffic sucks and you can't use it for any decent ad programs anyway.

What about for a fansite? A lot of anime, pokemon, Neopets, etc. sites use top sites as a means of gaining visitors. These top sites count unique hits for the ranking. Some top sites actually do bring in a good number of visits. Would it be OK to use autosurfers for the purpose of climbing ranks? Or is it still just a waste of time?

Why bother? It's a useless metric by any measure.

Go to google type in 'alexa script' and see just how easy it is to fiddle with Alexa.

I would never buy a website or domain based on Alexa rank.

Thanks Whitebark will give it a go, other ways is to buy pop-under traffic which in return gives you good Alexa rankings depending on your adverts you might even get 50% real visitors.But it depends on you ads designed and how attractive they are to people.

i agree with the average sentiment for autosurf...i think it is a big waste of time. yopu just sit there and look at the counter and click on the chosen picture. dont think ive ever really paid attention to any of the sites that were being rotated and so im pretty sure thats what happens when my site comes up in the rotation
